Motorola confirms Android 6.0 Marshmallow for range of smartphones
Google announced at its event earlier this week that it will roll out Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) update for Nexus devices starting from next week. HTC already confirmed list of 12 devices that will get the update, Motorola just announced the list of smartphones that will get the Android 6.0 update first. This includes the Moto X (2nd Gen, 3rd Gen Pure Edition, Style and Play), Moto G (2nd and 3rd Gen), DROID Turbo, Moto MAXX and Moto Turbo. Google Nexus 6P launching in India soon on Flipkart
Google unveiled the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P smartphones at an event earlier this week. Flipkart has started teasing the launch of the Huawei-made Nexus 6P smartphone in India. This time Flipkart doesn’t have a ticker to show the pre-order date of the latest Nexus smartphone, like it did for last year’s Nexus 6 launch. Since the smartphone is shipping for pre-ordered customers later this month in some countries, we can expect the pre-order to start in India later this month and it might go on sale next month. 2nd Gen Moto X 2014 receives Android 6.0 Marshmallow Certification – Update imminent
The 2nd generation Motorola Moto X that was released in 2014 was released running on Android 4.4.4 KitKat but eventually got the update to Android 5.1 Lollipop via an OTA update. Now, we have good news as the device has now been certified to get Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

It has been rumoured for quite a while that Samsung might use a Qualcomm processor for some of the Galaxy S7 units ie the Snapdragon 820. While it has been somewhat uncertain so far, now it seems more than likely considering the reliability of the source.

HTC One E9s dual sim with 5.5-inch HD display, 4G LTE now available in India for Rs. 20497
HTC One E9s dual sim, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone is now available in India from eBay. It got certified in China back in June and packs a 5.5-inch HD display, is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek MT6752M 64-bit processor and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with HTC’s own Sense UI. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and an UltraPixel front-facing camera.
BBM for iPhone gets Apple Watch support
BlackBerry has updated the BBM app for iPhone that finally brings support for Apple Watch. It lets you quickly reply to messages you receive with Ok, Yes or No directly from the Watch. You can also reply with emoticons or use voice input. WhatsApp for iPhone is yet to get Apple Watch support. The latest update also brings support for quick reply option for iPhone, directly from the notification shade without opening the app, PayPal integration and more. Micromax Bolt Q339 budget 3G smartphone launched for Rs. 3499
Micromax has launched Bolt Q339, the company’s latest entry-level smartphone with 3G connectivity. It has 4.5-inch FWVGA screen, is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, runs on Android 4.4, has a 5-megapixel fixed-focus rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Samsung Galaxy J7 Benchmarks
Samsung launched the Galaxy J7 smartphone, along with the Galaxy J5 back in July at Rs. 14,999. We recently brought the review of the Galaxy J7, here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. The Indian variant is powered by an Octa-Core Exynos 7580 64-bit processor that has eight ARM Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.50 GHz per core, instead of Snapdragon 615 SoC in the Chinese variant. It has Mali-T720 GPU, 1.5GB of RAM, 5.5-inch 1080p screen and runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop). Sharp AQUOS ZETA and AQUOS Compact with Snapdragon 808 and 3GB RAM announced
Sharp introduced AQUOS ZETA SH-01H and AQUOS Compact SH-02H in NTT DoCoMo’s 2015 winter/ 2016 spring lineup yesterday. The AQUOS ZETA has a 5.3-inch 1080p IGZO display at 416 PPI and minimal bezels. Even the 8-megapixel camera is present below the display since there is no space on the top. It also has a fingerprint sensor on the back, below the camera.

Apple releases iOS 9.0.2 update with bug fixes and improvements, iOS 9.1 beta 3
Apple has released minor iOS 9.0.2 update (Build 13A452) for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices, a week after releasing iOS 9.0.1 update and two weeks after releasing major iOS 9.0 update for these devices. The 72.5MB update includes several bug fixes and improvements for these devices that are related to app cellular data usage, iMessage activation, iCloud backup, notifications and Podcasts app. Check out the complete changelog.
