Microsoft and Asus have announced their plans to expand their earlier patent licensing agreement which will include a broad cross-licensing covering.

It will cover ASUS Android-based phones and tablets and Microsoft software, devices and services. This will allow for better integration between the two companies. For example, it will allow Asus to pre-load Microsoft Office and its suite of apps onto their smartphones and tablets.

The new agreement will also allow the development and sharing of new and innovative product solutions between the two. Although they haven’t specified what sort of innovation or type of products we will be seeing from the agreement, this deal will be beneficial to both the companies and will also ensure that the consumers get better products and services.
