ASUS has finally started rolling out Android 12 update for its ROG Phone 5 and 5s models globally, as it had promised. This comes after the company rolled out Android 12 update for its Zenfone 8 series in December last year. Both the phones were launched on Android 11. After releasing developer preview and beta versions of Android 12L, Google has officially released the Android 12L for the Pixel phones. Colour is an important component when it comes to UI and design, and it plays a large role in Google’s latest Material You design language that is present in Android 12. The company is now open sourcing their Material Color Utilities code library to help developers make better looking apps, and also introduced a new HCT colour system that is designed to be “perceptually accurate”.

Google has released the Android 13 (codename Tiramisu) Developer Preview, months before the Google I/O and the official release later this year. The release is designed to help developers test out their apps and code for the upcoming version of Android with all its new features and specifications. This Developer Preview will be compatible to run on the Pixel 4/4 XL, Pixel 4a/4a 5G, Pixel 5, Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 Pro. Apple has announced a new finance-focused feature on the iPhone called Tap to Pay that is designed for merchants in the US. It will enable small businesses to large retailers to use their iPhone to complete transactions using Apple Pay, contactless credit and debit cards, and other digital wallets with a simple tap.

This doesn’t bring several features that were launched in China, but only finetunes some features that were already available with the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced.
