Google and Lava International plan to release a new low-cost Android One smartphone in India in coming months, according to a report from WSJ. The latest smartphone from OnePlus, the OnePlus X has a 13 Megapixel primary camera with an ISOCELL sensor, LED flash and maximum aperture of f2.2. The front camera is an 8 Megapixel unit with a wide angle lens and f2.4 aperture which bests the OnePlus 2’s front facing 5 Megapixel camera in terms of resolution. WhatsApp has added new Starred messages feature in the latest beta version of the Android app. This lets you star a message, which is similar to bookmarking, so that you can find it easily later. To star a message, you need to tap and hold on a message in a chat. This feature was released for iPhone last month. This was first reported by Android Police on Tuesday. It has a 5.2-inch 1080p 2.5D curved screen with slim bezels, is powered by a 1.3GHz 64-bit Octa-Core MediaTek MT6753 processor with Mali-T720 GPU and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop), which is upgradable to Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) in future. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) to focus in 0.2 seconds and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with selfie flash for capturing better images in poor lighting conditions. Firefox has updated its Android app to version 42 that brings several new features, including Tracking Protection for Private Browsing. This feature is also available for Firefox for Windows, Mac and Linux that actively blocks content like ads, analytics trackers and social share buttons that may record your behavior without your knowledge across sites.
