Samsung Galaxy Note 2 to hit Online Store on September 27 in India

Samsung is gearing up to launch the upgraded version of the immensely popular Galaxy Note – Galaxy Note 2 in India later this week.  Samsung had opened pre-bookings for the device and consumers could reserve a Galaxy Note 2 by paying Rs.5000 as an advance.In an email to customers who had pre-booked the phone on the company’s eStore , it is mentioned that the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will be launched on the 27th on the eStore.The Note 2 has some interesting specs including a 5.5 inch display and a 3100 mAh battery and a Quad-core CPU.

Samsung confirms Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for range of Galaxy Smartphones and Tablets


Samsung has announced the list of devices that would receive the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update according reports from The Verge and Techcrunch. Samsung started rolling out the Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy SIII yesterday starting from Poland. Samsung Denmark confirmed the Jelly Bean updates for S2 earlier this month, now we have the complete list of the devices that would get the update. WiShare app for Android makes WiFi sharing easy

Antara Apps, a Netherland-based company has launched WiShare, a new app for Android smartphones that makes WiFi sharing easy . The WiShare app creates a network connection that lets you share WiFi connection with phone contacts directly from your phone. You can add your friends allowing them to share Wi-Fi connections and create a Co-op throughout their respective cities and travel destinations. IDEA TV app demoed on AURUS 3G Android Smartphone

Today we were at the Idea Cellular’s Press Conference for the AURUS smartphone launch. We also checked out the Idea 3G TV app on the entry-level Android Smartphone. The service is provided free for 3 months along with AURUS and other Idea smartphones. It would let you watch more than 100+ Live TV channels. Android Developers in India can now sell Paid Apps on Google Play

Google has finally added India to the list of countries where developers can sell paid applications through Google Play Store. This would let the individual App developers and the developments companies in India to sell their paid apps and in-app products on Google Play. Google Play already shows amount for paid apps in INR. Facebook for Android v1.9.10 update brings new Messaging features

Facebook for Android has been updated to version 1.9.10 that brings new messaging features including option to quickly see who is online to chat, manage favorite friends, see active friends and more new features. The previous v1.9.8 update brought easier event creation and new media upload flow. The Facebook Messenger app for Android has also been updated with similar features. Facebook is also rolling out new auto photo upload feature for the Android app gradually that would upload your photos privately and share them later. ZTE Blade III with 4-inch display, Android 4.0 officially announced

ZTE Blade III that was leaked last month is now official. It packs in a 4-inch (800×480 pixels) 262K TFT Capacitive Touch Screen display and is powered by a 1GHz single-core Qualcomm MSM 7227 A processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Opera Mini for Android v7.5 update brings Smart Page feature

Opera has updated the Opera Mini app for Android that brings the new Smart Page feature. This lets you view  your favorite sites, latest updates from social networks (Twitter and Facebook), news gathered from your favorite sites (via their RSS feeds) and suggested links on the home screen. The Smartpage feature was available in the Opera Mini Next and Opera Mini 7 for BlackBerry, Symbian and Java Phones earlier this May. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Pre-Booking starts in India

Samsung has just started Pre-Booking for the much awaited Galaxy Note 2 on it’s India eStore. The device which is the successor to the original Note was unveiled last month at IFA Berlin along with the Galaxy Camera. The phone has a 5.5 inch display and runs Android JellyBean out of the box. Samsung is asking for Rs.5000 as an advance payment for the pre-booking which will be adjusted when the device goes on sale later this month. Twitter for Android, iPhone and iPad updated with Photo streams, Profile header photos and more

Twitter has finally released a new iPad app that has been built from ground-up. Twitter for Android and iPhone got a new UI back in December 2011. The iPhone and Android apps has also been updated with new features. These apps come with a new profile that lets you add header photos and Photo streams on profiles that shows images people have shared on Twitter and more new features. Google Nexus 7 launching in India in November


Asus India today confirmed at the PadFone and Transformer Pad launch event that the Google Nexus 7 is expected to launch in India in November according from reports for CIOL. It might come with a different name and few changes in the specification says Ausus, the hardware partner. Google announced the Nexus 7, their first Android tablet to come with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) in June at Google I/O for $199. Motorola RAZR i: It’s the RAZR we all know and love, but with Intel inside

Motorola has just unveiled the RAZR i this morning in the UK. It’s essentially the RAZR M that was announced earlier this month, but with an Intel chip instead of a Qualcomm chip. What you’re looking at above is a phone with a 4.3 inch qHD display, what we assume to be 1 GB of RAM, an Intel Atom with hyper-threading enabled that should be capable of delivering up to 2 GHz of performance, an 8 megapixel camera that’s supposedly very fast, and it runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Samsung: Ignore those Galaxy S IV rumors, they’re not true!

Yesterday we wrote up a rumor from The Korea Times that said Samsung was going to announce the Galaxy S IV in February 2013, ship it a month later, and that it’ll feature a 5 inch display. Samsung, not being all too thrilled with the internet talking about the next Galaxy S when the current Galaxy S is barely four months old, went on Twitter to say that the rumors are false.
