Karbonn launches Smart Tab 9 and Smart Tab 3 Tablets, A11, A7+ and A1+ Android Smartphones

Karbonn Mobiles has launched Smart Tab 9 (Marvel) and Karbonn Smart Tab 3 (Blade) running on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and range of Android Smartphones in India. Both these tablets are powered by a 1.2 GHz processor similar to the Smart Tab 1 that was launched in July. The Karbonn Smart Tab 9 has a 9-inch capacitive touch screen and a 4000 mAh battery, while the Smart Tab 3 comes with a 7.1-inch capacitive touch screen and a 2600 mAh battery. They have also launched the A11, A7+ and A1+ Dual SIM Android Smartphones with 3G support. Dropbox for Android v2.2 update brings new Photos tab

Dropbox for Android has been updated to version 2.2 that brings new features including a new Photos tab that lists your uploaded photos and videos, including photos uploaded from other devices. The new Photos tab lets you view the uploaded media in a thumbnail view to share or download them easily. These photos are also listed according to the uploaded date. Gmail for Android v4.2 to bring pinch-to-zoom and Swipe to delete features

Android Police has got hold of the upcoming Gmail for Android app version 4.2. Looks like this would be a major update from the existing version of the Gmail for Android version 4.1.2. The upcoming Gmail for Android update is expected to bring the most expected pinch-to-zoom feature and a new swipe to archive or delete feature to quickly delete or archive a mail from you inbox or sent. You can also disable this feature from the settings, or make it to only delete when you swipe or archive and delete. It also removes the labels when you’re in a label-only view. Samsung Galaxy S3 mini with 4-inch Super AMOLED display, 1 GHz dual-core processor, Android 4.1 announced

Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy S3 mini that surfaced yesterday. It has a 4.0-inch (480×800 pixels ) Super AMOLED display  and is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5 Megapixel Auto Focus Camera with LED Flash, 720p video recording at the back and a VGA front-facing camera. The design of the phone and some of the features are similar to the Galaxy S Duos that was announced in August. It also has some of the unique features that were present in the Galaxy S3 including S Voice, Smart Stay, Direct Call, S Beam and Buddy photo share. CyanogenMod 10 M2 builds out now

The guys on the CyanogenMod team look to be working hard as they have released the M2 version which is for the second month. CyanogenMod has announced that they will be releasing stable version of CM10 every month. The updates have already started rolling for devices like Galaxy Nexus, galaxy S3 and S2.

LG Nexus Phone Pictures Leaked

New set of images of the LG’s next Nexus devices has surfaced on Belarusian site Onliner. Unlike the earlier shots of the LG E960, these images are clear hands-on shots. Karbonn A21 and A9+ with 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, Android 4.0 coming soon

Looks like Karbonn is on a launching spree. The Karbonn A11 that was listed online earlier this went on sale today. Now, the Karbonn A9+ is listed on Flipkart and the Karbonn A21 appears on the Karbonn site. The A9+ is the successor of the Karbonn A9 that was launched in July. The A9+ has a 4.0-inch (480 × 800 pixels) IPS display, while the A21 has a 4.5-inch (540 ×960 pixels) IPS display. Both these devices are powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor (According to Wikipedia, A9+ is powered by a Snapdragon S4 processor, but we have to wait for the official launch since any one can edit these details). Penta T-Pad WS703C 7-inch tablet with Voice calling launched for Rs. 6999

Pantel Technologies has launched T-Pad WS703C their new tablet with built-in SIM card slot for voice calling and 2G connectivity. It has a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display with and is powered by a 1.2 GHz processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and has WiFi and 3G support via USB Dongle for data connectivity. Kapil Sibal, Minister of HDR and Communications and Information Technology launched the tablet and 674 tablets were distributed to meritorious students of the SSLC – 2012 exam in Kerala. Samsung Galaxy S III mini with a 4-inch display set for a German launch on October 11th

Samsung mobile communications head JK Shin has apparently confirmed to the Korean press that the 4-inch version of the Galaxy S III dubbed the Galaxy S III “mini” is all set to launch in Germany on October 11th.

Google Nexus 7 Android 4.1.2 OTA update starts rolling out, brings landscape mode and improvements

Google has started rolling out Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) update for the Nexus 7. The Google Nexus 7 was unveiled in June came with Android 4.1.1 but it lacked landscape mode. The new Android 4.1.2 Over the Air (OTA) update is a minor update which is about 31MB. It brings landscape mode and  improvements in performance, stability and bug fixes. The LG E960 that is rumored to be the next Nexus device was spotted running on the Android 4.1.2.
