Intex Aqua SX and Aqua Star spotted on official website, priced at Rs. 4490 and Rs. 3990

Intex is all set to release two new Android smartphones in the Aqua range. We spotted the Aqua Star and the Aqua SX, the company’s upcoming affordable Android smartphones on their website. The Intex Aqua SX has almost similar features as the Aqua S including a 3.5-inch (480×320 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and is powered by a 1 GHz processor . This packs a 1450 mAh battery. The Intex Aqua Star would come with a 4-inch display, powered by a 1 GHz processor and run on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini Unboxing

Almost six months have passed since the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S3 mini in Europe. It never reached the subcontinent as Samsung had planned to launch other devices with similar specifications here, like the Galaxy S Duos, which is basically a Dual SIM version of the Galaxy S3 mini. However, there are lots of differences between the S3 mini and the S Duos when it comes to the internals. Just for comparisons sake, you have to know that the S3 mini looks exactly like the S Duos. With that said, the S3 mini is an interesting device on its own, and since we have got it in our labs now, here it is, our unboxing video –

Google Keep is official, brings synced notes to web and Android

Google’s note taking and list making app, Keep, had shown up previously on Drive but has now been officially announced. The app which works on web and on Android phones running 4.0 and above can best be described as a simplified version of Evernote. The application allows the creation of notes and lists which are saved on Google Drive. You can download the app here.

These are synchronized across all your Android devices. Users also get a home screen and lock screen widget to make taking notes a single tap affair. It is possible to attach images and voice memos to notes. Additionally, the service supports transcription which will let you convert voice memos into text. Google Keep allows you to customize the color of the note and completed items can be archived or deleted. The notes can be accessed on the web via the drive.google.com/keep url.

There is no iOS or Windows Phone application yet. One area where the app falls short is shared note editing or any sort of social features other than sharing via the standard Android share menu. Samsung has finally started rolling out Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) update for the Galaxy Note users in India. The Samsung Galaxy Note got the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean last month starting from Hong Kong, Taiwan and Germany. Samsung confirmed back in December that the Galaxy Note would get the multi-screen / multi-window feature in the Android 4.1 update. From Sony’s new crop of Xperia, here’s Xperia E dual. Available in Stores and online at Rs. 10,990. The Xperia E dual would replace the Xperia tipo dual that we reviewed last year. This has a larger 3.5 inch display, powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM7227A processor and is also upgradable to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean from the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).

Gmail v4.3 for Android brings quick reply, delete from notification drawer

Google has updated the Gmail app for Android to version 4.3 that brings new features including option to reply, delete or archive emails directly from the notification drawer for devices running on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and above. This update also brings new features including faster offline search for Android devices running on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and above. It also brings lot of improvements and bug fixes. Sony Xperia SP and Xperia L get a pre-order price in UK, coming late April


Sony announced the Xperia SP and the mid-range Xperia L smartphone yesterday. Online retailer Clove UK has announced that they have started taking pre-orders for these devices. The Xperia SP has a  4.6-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD Reality Display with with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, powered by a 1.7 GHz Dual-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960Pro processor and the Xperia L comes with a 4.3-inch (854 x 480 pixels) Scratch-resistant capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8230 processor. Quite possibly the best designed Sony handset ever, it combines impeccable craftsmanship with performance worthy of a class leading device. Sony Xperia E and the Xperia E dual (C1604) went on pre-order online last week, now online retailer Saholic has started selling the Xperia E dual in India. Both the Xperia E and the Xperia E dual were announced back in December 2012. It comes with a 3.5-inch (480 x 320 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen display, Dual SIM support and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), which is Upgradable to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Huawei MediaPad 7 Vogue received DLNA certification earlier this month, now evleaks has outed an official press image of the device. The MediaPad 7 Vogue was already mentioned back in an official MWC press release last month. It would come with a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) IPS mult-touch screen display, similar to the Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite that was launched in India last November. Even thought the display size and the resolution are similar, the MediaPad 7 Vouge would come with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and it would be powered by a 1.2 GHz / 1.5 GHz quad-core Cortex A9 processor based on the the model. Sony Xperia L with 4.3-inch display, 1 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, Android 4.1 announced

Sony Mobile has also announced a mid-range device, the Xperia L along with the Xperia SP. It has a 4.3-inch (854 x 480 pixels) Scratch-resistant capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8230 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It comes with a 8MP rear camera with LED Flash, Exmor RS sensor and also has a dedicated camera key. It is capable of recording 720p HD videos. It also comes with a VGA front-facing camera. It has a LED notification light below the display. Looks like this would replace the Xperia J that was launched last year.

Sony Mobile has announced the Xperia SP, a new smartphone in the Xperia line-up. It comes with a 4.6-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD Reality Display with with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, powered by a 1.7 GHz Dual-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960Pro processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a colour-changing transparent element with customizable illuminations at the bottom. It also comes with 4G LTE support in select markets. It has a 8MP auto focus camera with LED Flash, Exmor RS sensor and a VGA front-facing camera. Micromax A51 Bolt with 3.5-inch display coming soon

Micromax launched the A35 Bolt, the company’s first Android smartphone in the Bolt series, last month. Micromax is now getting ready to release the second phone in the series, the A51 Bolt with a 3.5-inch (320 x 480 pixels) display. It runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS and packs a 2 MP rear camera and a 0.3 MP front-facing camera similar to the A35. It is powered by a 832 MHz Broadcom processor and has 3G support.
