MapmyIndia, popular for its GPS navigation and location apps has launched NaviMap, a Freemium navigation app. This offers alternate routes and lets you share real-time journey updates on Facebook. Additional features such as Real time turn-by-turn voice guidance in 10 regional languages that includes Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu, House Number Data, POI and more would be available via in-app purchases. Motorola launched the Moto X, the company’s top-end smartphone in India back in March, exclusively on Flipkart. Later it launched the Walnut and Teak wood back variants are priced at Rs. 25,999. Today, the company has launched the Bamboo back variant of the phone in India on Flipkart. The Bamboo variant of the Moto X was introduced in the U.S. back in December last year. Xolo launched the A510s as the successor of A500s couple of months back. Today the company has unveiled the A500s Lite, a variant of last year’s A500s smartphone. It has a 4-inch (480 x 800 pixels) touch screen IPS display, powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), similar to A500s but this has a 3-megapixel fixed-focus rear camera with LED flash, instead of 5-megapixel camera. Philips Mobile has entered into Indian smartphone market with three new smartphones S308, W3500 and W6610. It has also launched a feature phone E130. The S308 in the S Series has a 4″ WVGA screen, powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor and comes with a 5-megapixel camera. It runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) and comes with dual SIM support. It has a 7.85-inch (1024 x 768 pixels) capacitive multi-touch IPS display, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core Cortex A7 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). LG G3 announced, comes with a 5.5-inch QHD display, Snapdragon 801 and Laser AF

LG has just announced the G3, the company’s latest smartphone in the G series and the successor of last year’s G2. As we all know, the smartphone features a 5.5-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD display, powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor. It runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with new flat UI, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual tone LED flashes and a new Laser AF that should provide fast focus, even in low light conditions. The camera will supports 4K video recording and the G3 also comes with a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera that lets you capture images with just a simple hand gesture. Previously believed to be metal, the G3 is actually made of plastic, but with an advantage of a removable back cover that reveals the replaceable 3000 mAH battery and the card slots. The LG G2 already had a great sealed battery, but the G3’s removable option gives the choice for people who might want it. Toshiba has just announced Excite Go, the company’s latest tablet in the Excite series. It has a 7-inch (1024 × 600 pixels) capacitive multi-touch display, powered by a quad-core Intel Atom processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It also has a front-facing camera. Images of the LG G Pad 7.0 has been leaked by a French website FrAndroid before the official launch. Announced earlier this month, LG G Pad 7.0 is the smallest tablet in the G Pad series which also has G Pad 8.0 and G Pad 10.1.

LG L80 Dual gets priced on official India website at Rs. 17500

LG unveiled the L Series III lineup that includes L40, L70 and L90 at the MWC 2014 back in February. Both the L70 Dual and L90 Dual smartphones went on sale in India recently. Today, the LG L80 Dual (D380) has been listed on the official LG India website, priced at Rs. 17,500 (MRP). Even though the phone was showcased at the MWC earlier this year, press images of the LG L80 Dual surfaced in Russia last month and it went on the official Russian website few weeks back. LG confirms Android KitKat update to G Pro Lite and L9 II

LG is rolling out Android KitKat update to G Pro Lite and Optimus L9 II according to the LG Italy’s Facebook Page. As per the announcement, the L9 II will receive the 4.4.2 KitKat update “in the coming weeks” while the G Pro Lite towards the end of Q2. However, there are reports coming from Slovakia that L9 II has already starting receiving the update.

HTC released the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for the HTC One in India earlier this year, now the company has started rolling out the Sense 6 update for the Indian users. Last month HTC promised that it would release the Sense 6 update for the HTC One users starting from May, and it has kept its promise.
