Tablets are becoming increasingly similar to one another and it’s becoming hard to stand out from the crowd. However the Acer Predator 8, which is a gaming tablet announced during Computex in Taiwan earlier this year should have no such problem. The tablet seems to have a design that is inspired by the Alienware series of laptops and computers from Dell.

Samsung is apparently working on an 18.4″ Android tablet

Samsung isn’t a new name when it comes to tablets and that also includes larger tablets that are bigger than some notebooks and laptops such as the Note Pro 12.2 and Tab Pro 12.2. But this new rumored device would make it a first even for Samsung as the source states that the company is working on a tablet powered by Android that has an 18.4″ display.

ZUK Z1 international version with Cyanogen OS 12.1 coming in September

ZUK, Lenovo-backed startup introduced ZUK Z1 smartphone in China last week. It recently said that the international variant of the smartphone will run on the latest Cyanogen OS 12.1 based on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) compared to the Chinese version that runs on ZUI based on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). The original Micromax Canvas Xpress was announced in December 2014 at a price of Rs 6,999. The successor, the Canvas Xpress 2 was announced late last month at a price of Rs 5,999. Don’t be fooled by the pricing as the Xpress 2 seems to pack in a lot more than the original despite being Rs 1,000 cheaper than the former. However, mere specifications and a cheaper price tag alone doesn’t mean a phone is better than its predecessor or that it is a good buy at the time. We need to see how well it fares in real life and for that we need to dive into the review. So let’s go ahead and take a look at the Micromax Canvas Xpress 2 and see what are its strong suits and what are the chinks in its armour.

This includes several improvements and fixes, including patches for Stagefright security exploit, battery performance improvements, SIM card import/export fixes and more. When we tested using Zimperium’s Stagefright Detector app it said the device is not vulnerable even before the update. iBall Cobalt 6 and Andi 4F ARC3 smartphones are now available from retail stores, according to Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom. The Cobalt 6 that surfaced on the official website last month packs a  6-inch 1080p screen, is powered by a 1.7GHz Octa-Core processor, has 2GB RAM, 16-megapixel rear camera (compared to 13-megapixel on the official site) with dual LED flash and a 8-megapixel camera. The Andi 4F ARC3 has a 4-inch WVGA display, is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera.
