Google Nexus 5X Benchmarks

Google launched the Nexus 5X smartphone made by LG in India earlier this month, which went on sale last week starting at Rs. 31,990. We had already brought you the hands on impressions and the unboxing of the smartphone, here we have the benchmarks. The Nexus 5X is powered by an Hexa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 64-bit 20nm processor that has two bigger ARM Cortex A57 cores clocked at 1.82GHz per core and four smaller ARM Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.44GHz per core with 600 MHz Adreno 418 GPU. Oppo Neo 7 with 5-inch display, Snapdragon 410 SoC, 4G LTE announced

Oppo has announced Neo 7, the company’s latest smartphone in the Neo series, as we exclusively reported last week. The successor of the new Neo 5 smartphone has a similar back with mirror finish, but this also has micro-arc frame with curved finish. Most of the specifications are similar to the Oppo Mirror 5 that includes a 5-inch qHD screen, Snapdragon 410 SoC, Android 5.1 (Lollipop) OS with Color OS 2.1 on top, 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, but this has 1GB of RAM instead of 2GB of RAM in the Mirror 5. Google Nexus 6P will be shipped in batches starting from first week of November in India

Google unveiled Nexus 6P smartphone at an event last month and the Huawei-made Nexus phone with metal body was launched in India last month priced at Rs. 39,999 for the 32GB version and Rs. 42,999 for the 64GB version. At the launch Google said that both the new Nexus smartphones will be available from October 21st, but only the Nexus 5X was released. When the Nexus 6P went on pre-order on Flipkart last week, the shipping date was mentioned as November 2nd for the customers who ordered the phone.

New emojis are coming to Android soon

Apple released iOS 9.1 update for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch earlier this week that added over 184 new emoji characters with full support for Unicode 7.0 and 8.0 emojis. iOS also became the first operating system to include every single emoji in the Unicode Standard. Samsung Galaxy On5 and Galaxy On7 4G smartphones go official in China

Samsung Galaxy On5 (SM-G550F) briefly appeared on the Samsung India website earlier this week. Now the Galaxy On7 (SM-G600) has been listed on Samsung China website (Via) that also confirms the Galaxy On5. The Galaxy On5 and Galaxy On7 smartphones have 5-inch and 5.5-inch HD displays, respectively. The Galaxy On5 is powered by a quad-core Exynos 3475 processor and has a 8-megapixel rear camera, but the Galaxy On7’s quad-core processor is clocked at 1.2GHz (could be Snapdragon 410) and it has a 13-megapixel rear camera.
