Dell Technologies has announced two new rugged laptops, the Dell Pro Rugged 13 Extreme and Dell Pro Rugged 14. The new models are aimed at workers across local governments, public safety, manufacturing, oil and gas, transportation, and utilities.
Dell Pro Rugged 13 Extreme
It is the smallest and most powerful 13-inch fully rugged AI PC, according to Dell. It has an IP66 rating for protection against dust and water ingress and has been drop-tested from six feet, or around 1.8 meters. The laptop features Intel Arc integrated graphics for visual and data-heavy workflows and supports up to 64GB of LPDDR5X memory.
Removable SSD and self-encrypting drive options are available. It has a 13.3-inch FHD display with up to 1,400 nits of brightness, along with the common display and connectivity features listed below.

Dell Pro Rugged 14
It is the smallest and most powerful 14-inch semi-rugged AI PC, according to Dell, and weighs approximately 2.13kg. It provides three-foot, or close to one-meter, drop protection and has an IP53 rating for protection against dust, dirt, and water exposure.
It can be configured with an NVIDIA RTX PRO 500 Blackwell Generation Laptop GPU for visualization, data analysis, and AI workloads and supports up to 64GB of LPCAMM2 memory. The memory modules can be upgraded or swapped by IT teams.
The laptop features a 14-inch 16:10 FHD display with up to 1,100 nits of brightness. Its redesigned vehicle docking system features quad passthrough, enhanced connectivity, and compatibility with third-party docking solutions, while also supporting easier docking and undocking.

Both laptops are MIL-STD-810H certified and support a temperature range of -20°F to 145°F. Their displays support multi-touch with gloves and in wet conditions, while Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors offload AI and background tasks.

Both laptops are available today in India. The starting prices are:
- Rugged 14 (PR514260): Rs. 2,65,990 (including taxes)
- Rugged 13 Extreme (PR713260): Rs. 3,36,990 (including taxes)
