Samsung launched the Galaxy On5, its latest ‘On series’ smartphone with 4G support in India earlier this month, priced at Rs. 8990 exclusively on Flipkart. We already brought you the unboxing of the smartphone, here we have its benchmarks. It is powered by a quad-core quad-core Exynos 3475 28nm processor with four ARM’s Cortex A7 CPUs clocked at 1.3GHz and has Mali-T720 GPU. It packs 1.5GB of RAM, has a 5-inch HD display and runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) with Samsung’s own UI on top. Google Camera v3.1 released – Brings Nexus 6P and 5X UI to all Marshmallow devices

Google has just released v3.1 of its camera app that brings UI changes. Users of Marshmallow devices will now be able to have the camera UI of the Nexus 5X and 6P on their devices too.

HTC One A9 launching in India on November 25

HTC just sent out invites for the launch of the One A9 smartphone in India on November 25th. Even though the invite just mentions save the date _ 25.11.2015 on a charcoal background, it is similar to the invite for last month’s One A9’s announcement. The first smartphone in the new One A series was unveiled last month, and packs a 5-inch 1080p AMOLED display, Octa-Core Snapdragon 617 processor, runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with HTC Sense UI on top, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF), Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), RAW image capture and an Ultrapixel front-facing camera. Now the Canvas Nitro 3 E352 is available for purchase from eBay.in. It has a 5-inch HD screen and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) OS, similar to the Canvas Xpress 4G, but this is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek processor, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash. Micromax just launched Canvas Xpress 4G Q413, the company’s latest budget 4G smartphone in the Canvas Xpress series. It packs a 5-inch HD screen, is powered by a quad-core 64-bit MediaTek MT6735P processor, runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) OS, comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Micromax has partnered with Flipkart to sell the smartphone. At the launch event Micromax said that all the future Xpress series phones will be exclusive to Flipkart. It packs a 5-inch 1080p display, is powered by an 2.2GHz Octa-Core MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795T) Octa-Core 64-bit processor and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with HTC Sense UI on top. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash, optical image stabilization (OIS) and an UltraPixel front-facing camera. It has dual front-facing BoomSound speakers and Dolby Audio. Google slashes minimum purchase price on Play Store for South East Asia

NVIDIA introduced SHIELD tablet last year starting at $299, but it went out of stock on NVIDIA ‘s website shortly after the company recalled some units in late July this year for posing a fire hazard due to overheating batteries. Today it has released an updated version of the tablet as SHIELD tablet K1 with minor changes that includes, silicon grips that will make it easier to hold and of course a new battery, just in time for the holidays. Microsoft delays Project Astoria, emulation tool to port Android apps to Windows

Microsoft announced its plans to launch tools for developers to quickly port Android and iOS apps to Windows 10 earlier this April. The tool for porting Android apps is called Project Astoria and the iOS porting tool is called Project Islandwood. The company did not launch Astoria publicly even months after the announcement. Now there are reports from Re/code and Windows Central saying that Project Astoria is on hold indefinitely, and maybe even shelved completely, but Microsoft doesn’t want to talk about it now, saying that Astoria bridge is not ready yet.
