Reliance Jio launched Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan offer back in April after the Summer Surprise Offer was withdrawn as per TRAI’s recommendation. As the 84-day Dhan Dhana Dhan offer ends this month for those activated it back in April, it has launched new plans for the Prime members. It has also revised Rs. 309 Dhan Dhana Dhan pack that offered 84 days validity to 56 days validity and has launched the same 84-day validity plan for Rs. 399 with 1GB data per day. Jio Customer Database of over 120 million users leaked, could be biggest data breach in India

In an interesting development , Jio customer data has been leaked on an independent website named magicapk. Several sensitive details including first name, last name ,mobile number, email-id,circle, SIM Activation Date and even Aadhaar Number have been exposed. To my disbelief I found my own details in the database and also couple of my colleagues are affected too.

Airtel network restored after temporary outage in Delhi NCR

Airtel just confirmed that its network services in Delhi NCR have been fully restored after a temporary network outage in the circle. People in the region started tweeting about network outage around 7:30 PM, and Airtel acknowledged the issue at about 9PM. “We may be facing a temporary issue while accessing Data/Voice/SMS. We are working to restore it ASAP,” replied Airtel to the customers who were complaining.

ASUS teams up with Reliance Jio to offer up to 10GB additional 4G data for select phones

After Xiaomi, ASUS has announced that it has entered into a partnership with Reliance Jio to offer up to 10GB data per month for up to 10 recharges or up to 100GB for 10 months. The ‘Additional Data Offer’ is available for Jio Prime members who have purchased any of these eligible ASUS devices from 16th June, 2017 either from online or offline channel. Customer will get an additional data voucher with every Recharge of Rs. 309 or above, limited to 10 recharges till 31st March, 2018.

Last year there was a report that said that Reliance Jio will launch feature phones with VoLTE support soon. We even saw an image of a Rs. 1299 feature phone earlier this year with shortcut keys for MyJio, Jio Live TV, Jio video and Jio Music. Even though we did not see the phone, there were reports that said that we might see an affordable VoLTE feature phone for under Rs. 1000. Now a new ET report says that Reliance Jio will disrupt the market with VoLTE feature phones for under Rs. 500. Reliance Jio 4G speed fastest in June: TRAI

Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) launched MySpeed app to measure and upload internet speeds and also launched Analytics Portal to show users in detail about network coverage, data speed in their area and Quality of Service (QoS) of their telecom operators last year. Vodafone India partners with WhatsApp to promote the use of app in Indian languages

Vodafone India today announced that it has partnered with WhatsApp to promote and educate users to use the app in local India language. Vodafone said that it is one of the first operators to start such an initiative and aims to empower its consumers to connect with each other in a language of their preference. WhatsApp is available in more than 50 languages, including 10 Indian languages and has over 200 million monthly active users in India. Reliance Jio has launched Asia-Africa-Europe (AAE-1) submarine cable system, the longest 100Gbps technology based submarine system that will stretch over 25,000 km from Marseille, France to Hong Kong, with 21 cable landings across Asia and Europe. “This large scale project is the combined work of leading telecom service providers from Europe, the Middle East, and Asia,” said the company.
