HTC Desire 600 Dual SIM phone now available in India for Rs. 26860

HTC Desire 600 that was announced back in May is now available in India from online retailer Saholic. It has a 4.5-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) pixels super LCD2 display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 MSM8625Q processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) . It has a 8-megapixel camera on the back with LED flash, BSI sensor and a 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera with BSI sensor. Reliance launches Re.1 mobile video downloads

Reliance has launched the Re.1 instant video downloads for their customers followed by Airtel and Aircel. Airtel launched Re. 1 mobile video download service back in May. Aircel partnered with Techzone to launch a service called  Video Store @ Re. 1 to download download more than 20,000+ videos across more than 12 languages. The Reliance Video Store lets you download latest trailers, songs, sports and more. Vodafone India offers Rs. 4000 crore to retain 2G licenses in Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata


Vodafone has offered to pay Rs. 4000 crore to the government to extend and continue its licenses in Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata, according to a recent report from PTI. Last month Vodafone announced that that they are taking all required actions, including legal against the Department of Telecom (DoT), regarding the 2G spectrum issue in these 3 metros. Idea introduces new packs with free incoming calls on national roaming


Idea Cellular has launched new roaming packs that would let you enjoy free incoming calls while roaming nationally. Airtel launched national roaming packs yesterday starting at Rs. 5/day. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) reduced the limit for national roaming tariff for calls and SMS last month.  Videocon made incoming calls free back in March without any processing fee or a special tariff vouchers. Airtel launches free incoming national roaming packs, starts at Rs. 5

Airtel has launched new roaming packs for both the prepaid and postpaid customers that would let them enjoy free roaming while travelling across India. Airtel launched a roaming pack for prepaid customers in Delhi back in March that offered discounted rates for incoming calls for roaming, now the new packs would offer free incoming calls. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) reduced the limit for national roaming tariff for calls and SMS last monthVideocon already offers free incoming calls without any processing fee or a special tariff vouchers. Other operators are yet to announce free national roaming plans.

Nokia has officially launched the Nokia 301 in India. It was announced at the MWC 2013 earlier this year and went on sale in India last month. It has a 2.4-inch  (320 x 240 pixels) display and runs on Series 40 OS. It has 3G support and comes with 3.2-megapixel rear camera with unique panorama, sequential shot which takes shots at 3-5 fps. It has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It has dual SIM support with dual standby similar to other Xolo smartphones. This would compete with the recently launched Lava Iris 458Q that was launched recently. Samsung plans to invest Rs. 500 crores to ramp up mobile production in India

Samsung plans to invest Rs. 500 crores to increase the mobile phone production, according to a recent report from PTI. Samsung has been launching several Android smartphone in India at varying price range. The company launched the flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S4 recently. These were reports that Samsung is prepping their India plant to manufacture the Galaxy S4. Samsung’s Nokia facility manufactures 3.5 to 4 crore phones annually including high-end smartphones. Samsung has launched range of smartphones in India that are priced between Rs. 5240 and  Rs. 40,300.

Reliance to offer iPhone 5 in India, announces bundled 3G data plans

Reliance Communications (RCom) has announced that they would sell the Apple iPhone 5 from today through their stores. Reliance has also announced bundled plans starting at a Rs. 304 that would offer both free minutes and 3G data. The Rs. 304 plan offers 100 minutes of voice calls and 2GB of free 3G data per month. Both Airtel and Aircel started selling the iPhone 5 in India last November with data plans. Reliance doesn’t offer free SMS in the plan. The iPhone 5 is priced at Rs.45,500 for the 16GB, Rs.52,500 for the 32GB and Rs. 59,500 for the 64GB versions which is the same as the launch price.
