Xiaomi today launched two new earphones – Mi Earphones, Mi Earphones Basic in India. The company already has several in-ear earphones in India, and it recently launched the Mi Noise Cancelling USB Type-C Earphones in the country. The Mi In-Ear Headphones Basic also got a permanent Rs. 100 price cut recently and is available for Rs. 499.

Over 4 lakh Xiaomi Redmi 5 smartphones will go on sale in India on March 20

Xiaomi launched its budget Redmi 5 smartphone in India last week and said that it will be available exclusively from Amazon.in as well as  Mi.com and Mi Home Stores starting March 20th. Today the company has announced that over 4 lakh units will be available for tomorrow’s sale compared to 3 lakh units for the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro that were sold out in 3 minutes  during the first sale. Xiaomi Blackshark SKR-A0 gaming phone with Snapdragon 845, 8GB RAM surfaces again in benchmarks

A new smartphone code-named Blackshark surfaced on AnTuTu, now the phone has surfaced on Geekbench listing revealing the code-name of the phone as  SKR-A0. This is believed to be Xiaomi’s first gaming smartphone under the new  Black shark brand, in which Xiaomi started investing last year.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro launched in China with f/1.9 aperture camera, Dual 4G VoLTE, Android Oreo, Quick Charge 3.0

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphone in India last month. The company today launched the phone in China today as Redmi Note 5 AI Dual Camera. Even though the phone has the same 5.99-inch Full HD+ 2.5D curved glass screen, Snapdragon 636 SoC with up to 6GB RAM, Hybrid Dual SIM slot, 4000mAh battery and comes with 12-megapixel rear camera, but this has a f/1.9 aperture camera compared to f/2.2 in the Indian version, however this has 1.4μm pixel size compared to 1.25μm in the Indian version. It also has Dual PD dual-core speed focus for fast and accurate focus. The secondary rear camera is the same 5-megapixel unit .

Xiaomi Mi Exchange program expands to Mi online store – Here’s how it works

Back in November last year Xiaomi India partnered with Cashify to launch Mi Exchange Program across its Mi Home stores offline. Today it has expanded the program to its Mi online store. This lets you exchange your old phones and get an exchange coupon on mi.com. This coupon can be used to buy a new Xiaomi smartphone on mi.com.

Xiaomi just launched the Redmi 5 smartphone in India, as expected. It was introduced back in December last year and packs  a 5.7-inch HD+ 18:9 full-screen display and is powered by Snapdragon 450 with up to 4GB RAM. It runs Android 7.1.2 (Nougat) with MIUI 9, has a 12-megapixel rear camera with 1.25μm pixel size sensor and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with selfie flash, similar to the Redmi Note 5. Honor 7C vs Xiaomi Redmi 5 – What’s Different?

Huawei’s Honor brand just introduced the Honor 7C  smartphone in China today. This directly competes with the Redmi 5 that was introduced back in December last year and will launch in India this week. Both these share almost similar specifications including a 18:9 display, Snapdragon 450, up to 4GB RAM, fingerprint sensor on the back and a metal back. Last week, we reported that newly launched Redmi Note 5 Pro had Low Volume output via Headphones issue, and Xiaomi quickly addressed the issue and rolled out MIUI 9.2.5.0 and updated security patch to February as well. Now, one of our readers tweeted saying that he is facing issue while playing some games on his Redmi Note 5 Pro, and phone was asking him to press R and L button on his gamepad while playing Modern Combat 5 and Sniper Fury but gamepad was not connected to the phone. Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 5 Pro in India on 14th February, and released the OTA for enabling face unlock in last week of February. Earlier this week we came across posts on Mi Community in which users reported the Low sound output from headphones issue for the newly launched Redmi Note 5 Pro. Xiaomi is about the launch the Mi MIX 2s in a couple of weeks and now an unknown mid-range Xiaomi phone codenamed ‘Berlin’ has surfaced on the Geekbench benchmark revealing very little about the smartphone.
