Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro gets a price cut in India, now starts at Rs. 9999

After announcing price cuts for Mi A2, Redmi Note 5 Pro and Redmi Y2, Xiaomi today announced a price cut for the Redmi 6 Pro  smartphone for the first time since it was launched in September last year. The 3GB+32GB of the phone now costs Rs. 9999 and the 4GB+64GB is now available for Rs. 11,999, after a Rs. 1000 price cut. It is available at new rates on Amazon.in, Mi.com and offline stores.

Lu Weibing appointed as president of Redmi and Xiaomi VP ahead of Redmi Note 7 event today

Xiaomi is all set to introduce its new Redmi smartphone at an event in China today in a couple of hours. Ahead of the launch, the company introduced the new Redmi by Xiaomi logo yesterday, today the company’s has confirmed that the phone will be called the Redmi Note 7 and the CEO Lei Jun has announced the appointment of Lu Weibing as the president of the new Redmi brand and vice president of Xiaomi.

Xiaomi Redmi Y2 gets another price cut in India, now starts at Rs. 8999

After announcing price cuts for Mi A2 and Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphones earlier this week, Xiaomi has announced second price cut for the Redmi Y2, selfie-focused smartphone in the country, after its first price cut in November this year. After Rs. 1000 price cut, the Redmi Y2 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version now costs Rs. 8999 and the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version is available at Rs. 10,999. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro gets another price cut in India as it hits 1 crore unit sales, now starts at Rs. 12999

After announcing a price cut for Mi A2 yesterday, Xiaomi today announced a price cut for its popular Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphone in India as the company has sold 1 crore or 10 million units. It was launched  back in February last year and got a Rs. 1000 price cut in November. Xiaomi Mi A2 gets another price cut in India, now available starting at Rs. 13999

Xiaomi launched the Mi A2, the company’s second Android One smartphone in India back in August last year starting at Rs. 16,999, later it got a Rs. 1000 price cut in November. Today the company has announced a second price cut in the country. The is available for Rs. 13,999 for the 4GB+64GB version, after a Rs. 2000 price cut and the 6GB+128GB version is available for Rs. 15,999, after a Rs. 3000 price cut on Amazon.in and Mi.com.

Xiaomi Redmi smartphone with 6.3-inch waterdrop notch display, 48MP camera, 4000mAh battery gets certified

Xiaomi recently scheduled an event to introduce a new Redmi smartphone with a 48-megapixel rear camera on January 10th. Today the smartphone has been certified by TENAA in China with model numbers M1901F7C, M1901F7T and M1901F7E revealing some specifications and the design. This reveals a 6.3-inch waterdrop notch screen with minimal bezels, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a gradient design.

Xiaomi’s dual-side foldable smartphone surfaces in video, could be showcased next week

We already know that Samsung is working on its foldable phone, and it was also showcased officially back in November last year. Out of nowhere, now a new video of a foldable smartphone from Xiaomi has surfaced, thanks to @evleaks. It can be folded both the sides, turning the huge tablet-like screen to a small phone-like formfactor. If this is real, this should be the world’s first dual-side foldable phone.

Xiaomi schedules an event on January 10 to introduce a new Redmi smartphone with 48MP camera

Xiaomi has scheduled an event in China on January 10th to launch a new smartphone. The invite has 4800 written upside down hinting at a 48MP camera phone that was teased by Xiaomi President Lin Bin in an image last month. The image showed a large sensor along with dual LED flash. Another teaser hints at a large sensor and 3x zoom.

Xiaomi Mi LED Smart TV 4A 32, Mi LED TV 4C Pro 32 and Mi LED TV 4A PRO 49 get a price cut in India

Several Xiaomi products have seen price fluctuations in recent months. The company’s Mi LED TV rates were hiked back in November due to depreciation of the rupee, however it recently reduced rates of its smartphone . Today, for the new year the company has reduced the rates of some of its TVs, including the Mi LED TV 4C Pro 32″  and Mi LED TV 4A Pro 49″ that received a price hike couple of months back.

Xiaomi Redmi 5 Android 8.1 Oreo Stable update with Dual 4G VoLTE starts rolling out [Download Link]

Xiaomi India launched the Redmi 5 running MIUI 9 based on Android 7.1 Nougat back in March. Last month it was updated to MIUI 10 Global Stable ROM which was based on Android 7.1 (Nougat) only but the company started rolling out Android 8.1 (Oreo) based  MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM towards the end of last month.
