The trend of online-exclusive smartphone models became popular in recent times and many smartphone brands launched online-only models. On similar lines, Vivo also launched its online-exclusive U series, Z series, S series, etc and now giving in to a long-standing demand of offline retailers, Vivo has announced that they will stop launching online-exclusive smartphones starting next year.
Update: December 28, 2019 – Vivo has confirmed that the S1 Pro will launch in India on January 4th, 2020.

Vivo has launched Y11, the company’s latest smartphone in India. This has an identical design language to Vivo Y12 that was launched earlier this year and comes with 6.35-inch HD+ Halo FullView LCD screen with a resolution of 720 × 1544 pixels, is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor paired with 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage which can be expanded with a microSD card. Vivo is sending out invites for an event that will be held in MWC 2020 at Barcelona, Spain. The invite specifies no other major information other than a giant stylised V in the background. There is speculation as to whether it could mean Vivo is releasing its first foldable phone but it could really be the “V” in Vivo. Earlier today, Vivo announced the X30 and X30 Pro flagship smartphones at an event in China and alongside, Vivo also unveiled its new Funtouch OS 10 custom skin. Funtouch OS 10 now comes with a minimal UI, animated lock screen, cloud service, etc, and Vivo has also announced the update rollout schedule which will happen in batches starting next year.

The X30 packs a 64MP main camera lens along with 8MP wide-angle lens and a 32MP portrait lens for 50mm equivalent full frame focal length, while the X30 Pro features an additional 13-megapixel periscope lens instead of the portrait lens for 5x loss-less zoom. Qualcomm officially unveiled its next flagship product, the Snapdragon 865 5G mobile platform during its Snapdragon summit in Hawaii just last week. Now, Vivo has announced that they will be one of the first manufacturers to equip their mobile phones with the new SoC, enabling faster speeds and better 5G support.
After V17 Pro launch in September, Vivo has launched the V17 smartphone in India, as it had promised. It has a 6.44-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED 20:9 Full View display with 91.38% screen-to-body ratio, is powered by Snapdragon 675 with 8GB of RAM and runs Android Pie with Funtouch OS 9 on top. On the back there is a 48-megapixel primary camera along with an 8-megapixel 120° ultrawide sensor, 2-megapixel camera for portraits and a 2-megapixel for macro. Vivo introduced iQOO Neo with Snapdragon 845 in China in July, later in October it introduced the iQOO Neo Snapdragon 855 Edition, now it has introduced the new iQOO Neo 855 Racing Edition with the 855 Plus and up to 12GB RAM. Other specifications are similar including the 6.39-inch FHD+ water drop notch with 90.0% screen-to-body ratio, liquid cooling, Android Pie, 12-megapixel primary rear camera with Sony IMX363 sensor, 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel sensor for portrait shots. Update: December 6, 2019 — Vivo has confirmed that the X30 smartphone will be introduced at an event in China on December 16th. It recently said that the phone’s camera will offer advanced portrait capabilities equivalent to 50mm DSLR lens.
Update: Vivo has posted a new teaser for the phone and confirmed that it will feature an AMOLED display and pack quad rear cameras with a 48-megapixel main camera.
