GSMA cancels MWC Barcelona 2020 due to coronavirus concerns

Novel coronavirus outbreak has impacted a lot of people in China, and several companies already announced that are cancelling their major launch events at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2020 due to global concern regarding the coronavirus outbreak. Now the GSMA has announced that it has cancelled MWC Barcelona 2020 which was originally scheduled from February 24th to 27th.

LG cancels MWC 2020 event over coronavirus concerns [Update: ZTE will participate as planned]

Earlier this week GSMA that conducts Mobile World Congress (MWC) events every year announced that it continues to monitor and assess the potential impact of the Coronavirus and said that there is minimal impact on the event. It confirmed that MWC event will happen in Barcelona from 24 to 27, February 2020 as planned. It also said that it has implemented many measures to help to mitigate the spread of the virus and is continuing to add other actions regularly. HMD Global MWC 2020 event set for February 23, Nokia 8.2, 9.2 and more expected

Mobile World Congress (MWC) is set to begin starting February 24 and many brands have announced their MWC presence. Recently, vivo and Sony announced an event on February 24th, and on similar lines, HMD Global has now announced an event on February 23rd where the company is expected to unveil mid-range smartphones and feature phones.

Realme smartphones to get VoWiFi starting this month, New realme phone for India launching at MWC 2020

Today, in the 14the episode of #AskMadhav, the company’s CEO, Madhav Sheth has confirmed that realme smartphones will get VoWiFi or Wi-Fi Calling support via update starting from this month. realme X2 Pro will be the first phone to get the update next week. Other phones will get the update in February and March.

Sony schedules MWC 2020 event on February 24, Xperia 5 Plus and more smartphones expected

Sony has started sending out invites for its MWC 2020 event on February 24th in Barcelona. This year’s invite just has an image that shows something like sky line. The invite doesn’t give us any other hints about the smartphone. Last year at the MWC the company introduce Xperia 1 flagship smartphone along with Xperia L3, Sony Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus. LG V60 ThinQ Dual Display 5G phone said to be announced at MWC 2020 in February
