We have been hearing about a monstrous phone being developed by Sony, which sometimes pops up by the name of Odin and sometimes the Yuga, this phone is considered to have a 5″ display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution (Wow). Well some of the specs of this device has been confirmed by a Nenamark benchmark result, which also confirms the 5″ display with before mentioned resolution. Read on to know more about this device.

Sony Xperia SL went on sale in India back in September, but Sony launched it officially few weeks back. Here we have the unboxing of the Sony Xperia SL. It looks similar to the Sony Xperia S that we reviewed earlier this year, including a 4.3 inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine, 12MP camera with LED flash and a 1.3MP front-facing camera, but it powered by a faster 1.7 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 MSM8260 processor with Adreno 220 GPU and comes with Android 4.0 out of the box.

Here is the unboxing of the Sony Xperia J, a mid-range Android smartphone from Sony that is priced around Rs. 18,000. It is available in India in Black and White colours. Sony announced the Xperia J at IFA 2012 in August and it was launched in India in October. It has a 4.0-inch (854 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen and is powered by 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), which is upgradable to Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). The device has good build quality and feels nice in hand. It weighs just 124 grams.

Sony Xperia miro Unboxing
Here is the unboxing of the Sony Xperia miro, a mid-range Android smartphone from Sony that is priced around Rs. 15,000. Sony announced the Xperia miro in June and it was officially launched in India in October. It has a 3.5-inch (320×480 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 800 MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It runs on Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and has a 5 Megapixel auto focus camera with LED flash at the back and a VGA front-facing camera. It comes in black, black pink and white silver colors, and we got the white silver one.

Sony Xperia T and Xperia TX Android 4.0.4 update brings Miracast Mirroring and Extended Standby
Sony Mobile has has started rolling out Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update for Xperia T and Xperia TX that brings new features such as Micracast Screen Mirroring, Extended Standby Mode and Media apps such as WALKMAN, Album and Movies. This update would would also bring HD Voice capabilities for the Xperia T. Sony recently announced Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update for both the Xperia T and Xperia TX, but this minor update brings some nice features for the Xperia T and TX owners. Sony has launched the Xperia J, their new Android Smartphone in India. It went on pre-order online earlier this week and has a 4.0-inch (854 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and is powered by 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), which is upgradable to Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5MP auto focus camera with LED flash at the back and a VGA front-facing camera. Sony Xperia SL officially launched at Rs 32,549 in India
Alongside the Xperia Miro, Sony has also launched the Xperia SL here in India today. The phone is powered by a 1.7Ghz dual core Qualcomm MSM8260 Snapdragon processor. The screen is a 720p 4.3″ display and includes a Mobile Bravia engine to boost image quality in videos and the gallery. It went on sale in India back in September. Sony Xperia miro officially launched in India at Rs. 15,249
Sony today launched its latest Xperia handset the Xperia miro in India at a price point of Rs. 15,249. The specifications include a 3.5″ display with a resolution of 320×480. You can find a 5MP camera over at the back of the device which is capable of recording at 30FPS. A front facing camera is also included for video calls. Sony Xperia T Review
Having left the name Sony Ericsson behind it, Sony’s revitalised mobile division is wasting no time in pumping out as many top-tier handsets as possible. The Xperia S has only been on the market for a few months and already it’s getting usurped by the Xperia T – a handset which comes pre-loaded with Ice Cream Sandwich, NFC capabilities and a massive 4.6-inch TFT screen.

Sony confirms Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for range of Xperia devices, No Jelly Bean for 2011 Xperia devices
Sony Mobile has confirmed the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update for range of Xperia devices. Sony has also said that they have started shipping Xperia T and Xperia TX for the global markets, and the Xperia V would ship soon. These three phones would be the first to get the update in mid-Q1 2013. Sony started rolling out ICS update for the Xperia U, Xperia Sola and Xperia Go recently. Earlier this August Sony said that the 2011 Xperia devices might get the Jelly Bean update, but now they have confirmed that those devices that got the Android 4.0.4 update would not be upgraded beyond Ice Cream Sandwich. Rumor: Sony working on a 5 inch 1080p smartphone
According to multiple leaks that have been cataloged by GSMArena, it looks like Sony is working on a new smartphone scheduled to be launched 2013 that will have a 5 inch 1080p display. This device, which has two names depending on the country it’ll launch in, the C660X ‘Yuga’ and the C650X ‘Odin’, has been seen in the NenaMark2 database. Translation: Some Sony engineer with a prototype of this as yet to be unveiled smartphone wanted to see how fast it was, so they ran a benchmark and accidentally uploaded the results to the internet. Sony opens PlayStation Mobile for HTC devices
PlayStation mobile is a cross-platform gaming service which was previously accessible only by certified devices like the PS Vita and the various Android powered Xperia devices and tablets.
