Sony Xperia ZL hands-on Photo Gallery

Sony unveiled the Xperia ZL at CES 2013 earlier this week. We got some hands-on time with the device at the Sony booth at CES. The Xperia ZL is packs almost similar features as the Xperia Z including a 5-inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Reality display with mobile Bravia Engine 2 and a 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor with Adreno 320 GPU. Sony Xperia ZL with 5-inch 1080p display, 1.5 GHz quad-core processor announced

Sony has announced Xperia ZL at CES 2013. This is a variant of the Xperia Z for select markets, and packs in similar features as the Xperia Z including a 5-inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Reality display with mobile Bravia Engine 2, 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor with Adreno 320 GPU and a 13MP camera with LED Flash, Exmor RS sensor for HDR images and video. It is not water or dust resistant like the Xperia Z and doesn’t have a glass back, but comes with a glowing LED indicator below the display. It comes with PlayStation Mobile support. Sony Xperia Z with 5-inch 1080p display, 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, 13MP camera announced

 

Sony has finally announced the Xperia Z, their latest flagship at CES 2013. It has a 5-inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Reality display with mobile Bravia Engine 2 and is powered by 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm APQ 8064 processor with Adreno 320 GPU. It has a 13MP camera with LED Flash, Exmor RS sensor for HDR images and video. It has IP55 and IP57 ratings for dust and water resistance and has PlayStation Mobile support. Sony Xperia Z new images surface

New images of Sony Xperia Z (C660X Yuga) has surfaced online. These images look like screencasts from a promotional video. This reveals that the smartphone would come with a Full HD Reality display with Bravia Engine 2, 13MP Exmor RS camera, HDR mode for Videos, OptiContrast Panel for high contrast and natural colours and a Skeleton frame structure. Sony Xperia Z spotted in press shots

The oft leaked next generation Sony devices have once again been seen in a leaked press shot. The glamour shot shows the highly anticipated flagship level device from Sony called the Xperia Z. Also known as the Yuga, the smartphone will be powered by Android Jellybean.

Sony Mobile has announced that they would start rolling out Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update for select 2012 Xperia devices starting from February 2013. Motiongraph app launched by Sony DNA, lets you create cinemagraphs on your Android phone

Sony’s Digital Network Applications division has pushed out a new application for Android devices which lets you create motion enabled images. The motiongraph smartphone application creates images in which part of the image moves like a video while the rest remains stationary creating a surreal effect.

Sony Xperia go Review

Sony announced the Xperia go back in May, that went on sale in India in July. The Xperia go is a durable Smartphone which is dust and water proof. It was running on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) at the launch, but it received the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update few months back. Sony has announced that they have extended the agreement with Box to offer 50GB of free storage for Xperia smartphones and tablets till the end of 2013. Sony releases Flash tool for Xperia Smartphones

Sony Mobile has released Flash tool for Xperia Smartphones. This would let you flash a standard Sony software on your Xperia smartphone with an unlocked boot loader. This software is available for Windows and automatically identifies the phone model and displays the available software to be flashed.

Sony Xperia SL Review

When we reviewed the Xperia S earlier this year, we felt that it was a new start for Sony. Continuing its tradition of good design, packing an excellent display we quite liked the Xperia S. However the pace of the mobile industry is such that it has been far out-specced since its launch. Following the lead of HTC with its One X refresh, Sony too has launched a new updated version of the Xperia S dubbed the Xperia SL.

Not much has changed in the Xperia SL externally as it retains its beautiful hardware. The screen is still quite nice while the processor has been bumped up to a Dual Core Snapdragon S3 processor clocked at 1.7Ghz compared to the 1.5Ghz processor on the Xperia S.  Keep reading for our full impressions. Sony Xperia E and Xperia E dual with 3.5-inch display, 1GHz processor announced

Sony has announced Xperia E and Xperia E dual, new Android Smartphones in the Xperia series. The Xperia E is the single SIM phone, while the Xperia E dual comes with dual-SIM support. These phones have a 3.5-inch (320 x 480 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen and is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM7227A processor similar to the Xperia J. Xperia E comes with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), while the Xperia E dual would launch on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and is upgradable to Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Sony Xperia P, U, Sola and Go new Android 4.0.4 update brings bug fixes and performance improvements


Sony Mobile has started rolling out new Android 4.0.4 (Firmware version 6.1.1.B.1.54) update for Xperia P, Xperia U, Xperia Sola and Xperia Go. This update brings bug fixes and performance improvements including improvements to stability,WiFi, tethering/portable hotspot, camera (capture and playback), NFC and Messaging. Sony rolled out ICS update for Xperia P starting from August and for the Xperia U, Xperia Sola and Xperia G starting from September earlier this year.
