Sony launched the Xperia Tablet Z, the company’s latest flagship tablet in India recently. Here we have the benchmarks of the device. The Xperia Tablet Z was originally announced in Japan earlier this year, and it was announced for global markets at the MWC 2013. It packs a a 10.1-inch HD (1920 x 1200 pixels) WUXGA Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, Shatter proof sheet on scratch-resistant glass, powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 ProAPQ8064 processor with Adreno 320 GPU and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Sony Xperia M and M dual with 4-inch display, 1 GHz dual-core processor, Android 4.2 announced

Sony has announced the Xperia M and M dual the company’s new mid-range Android smartphones. These phones have a 4.0-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8227 processor with Adreno 305 GPU.  Xperia M dual comes with Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), while the Xperia M would launch on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and is upgradable to Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and 720p HD video recording and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. These phones are based on OmniBalance design similar to the Xperia Z, have LED illuminations for notification and NFC connectivity for one-touch functions. The Xperia M dual comes with dual SIM support with dual Standby. Sony has announced that they would start rolling out the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update for the Xperia S, Xperia SL and Xperia acro S starting from today as they announced last month. The Sony Xperia P, Xperia go and the Xperia E dual got the Jelly Bean update last month. Sony confirmed Jelly Bean update for range of 2012 Xperia devices back in October. Sony Xperia Tablet Z launched in India for a price of Rs.46,990

Sony launched its Xperia Tablet Z at the Mobile World Congress and it recently went on pre-order for about Rs.44,990 at several online retailers in India, but now, at a launch event in New Delhi, Sony has finally launched it here, for a price of Rs. 46,990. Boasting a brilliant 10.1 inch 1920×1200 display, the tablet aims to be the big screened point of interaction for all of Sony’s services like Music unlimited and Movies. We had went hands on with the device back in February at the MWC event and were left quite impressed. But with a steep price, will it find its way into people’s hands? Only time will tell.

Sony Xperia Tablet Z now available for pre-order in India for Rs. 44990


Sony Xperia Tablet Z is on pre-order from online retailers Flipkart and Infibeam in India. The Xperia Tablet Z was originally announced in Japan earlier this year, at the MWC 2013 the company announced that it would roll out globally from Q2 2013. At the Xperia Z launch event the company announced that the tablet would be launched in India in May. The Xperia Tablet Z has a 10.1-inch HD (1920 x 1200 pixels) WUXGA Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, Shatter proof sheet on scratch-resistant glass, powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Sony Xperia L Benchmarks


Sony Xperia L, a mid-range Android smartphone in the Xperia series went on sale in India earlier this month. We brought you the unboxing of the device earlier this week. Here we have benchmarks of the device. It has a 4.3-inch (854 x 480 pixels) Scratch-resistant capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8930 CPU with Adreno 305 GPU and runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean). Sony Xperia UL with 5-inch 1080p display, 1.5 GHz quad-core processor announced for Japan

Sony Mobile has announced the Xperia UL (SOL22) for Japan. It has a 5-inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Reality display with mobile Bravia Engine 2, powered by 1.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm APQ 8064 processor with Adreno 320 GPU and runs on 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 13.1-megapixel rear camera with BSI Exmor RS sensor Sensor, LED Flash and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. The rear camera can capture 15 burst shots per second. It has IPX5/8 and IPX5 ratings for water and dust resistance. Sony announced the Xperia A, a mid-range Android smartphone with a 4.55-inch HD display in Japan recently.

Sony Mobile has announced the Xperia A (SO-04E) in Japan in partnership with NTT Docomo on their 2013 Summer Lineup. The Xperia A looks similar to the Xperia ZR that was announced  earlier this week. It has a 4.6-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) Reality display with mobile Bravia Engine 2, powered by 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm APQ 8064 processor with Adreno 320 GPU and packs a 13MP camera with LED Flash, Exmor RS sensor for HDR images and  a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. Sony Xperia ZR Durable phone with 4.55-inch 720p display, 1.5 GHz quad-core processor announced

Sony Mobile has announced the Xperia ZR, the company’s latest Android smartphone in the Xperia series. It has a 4.55-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) Reality display with mobile Bravia Engine 2 and is powered by 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm APQ 8064 processor with Adreno 320 GPU. It has a 13MP camera with LED Flash, Exmor RS sensor for HDR images and  a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing canera. It has IP55 and IP58 ratings for dust and water resistance and has PlayStation Mobile support. Sony Xperia L now available in India for Rs. 18990

Sony Xperia L that went on pre-order in India is now available from online retailer Snapdeal. The Xperia L was announced back in March along with the Xperia SP and packs a 4.3-inch (854 x 480 pixels) Scratch-resistant capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8230 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It comes with a 8MP rear camera with LED Flash, Exmor RS sensor, 720p HD video recording and  a VGA front-facing camera. It also has a dedicated camera key and comes with a  LED notification light below the display. Sony Honami Cyber-shot camera phone to use a 1/1.6″ Exmor RS sensor ?

Details of the Sony Honami and Togari surfaced earlier this week. The phone is rumored to come with a 16MP or a 20MP Cyber-shot CMOS sensor with Carl Zeiss optics, Xenon flash and a dual LED flash. Now new details of the phone has emerged that reveals that the phone would have a 1/1.6″ Exmor RS stacked sensor with Sony Cybershot G Lens. It would have a Xenon or dual-LED flash, and plasma flash is also being considered.The camera would have a new user interface, new processing algorithm, similar to Sony’s Cyber-shot digital cameras and Superior Auto Scene Recognition feature, an enhancement to the Superior Auto mode in the Xperia Z/ZL.

It has a 4.6-inch 720p HD Reality Display with with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, powered by a 1.7 GHz Dual-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro MSM8960 processor with Adreno 320 GPU. The MSM8960 chip in the Xperia SP is based on 28-nanometer (nm) process technology that offers less power consumption, unlike the Xperia SL.
