Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Pre-Booking starts in India

Samsung has just started Pre-Booking for the much awaited Galaxy Note 2 on it’s India eStore. The device which is the successor to the original Note was unveiled last month at IFA Berlin along with the Galaxy Camera. The phone has a 5.5 inch display and runs Android JellyBean out of the box. Samsung is asking for Rs.5000 as an advance payment for the pre-booking which will be adjusted when the device goes on sale later this month. Rumor: Samsung’s 12 megapixel camera sensor is now being mass produced

Weeks before Samsung’s 5.5 inch Galaxy Note II was announced, many of the rumor sites said it was supposed to ship with a 12 megapixel. That obviously didn’t happen, but it does bring up an important question: When will Samsung release devices with 12 megapixel cameras? We know megapixels aren’t everything, and that there are multiple factors, such as optics and ISPs, that contribute to image quality, but the geeks in us just want to know. Samsung: Ignore those Galaxy S IV rumors, they’re not true!

Yesterday we wrote up a rumor from The Korea Times that said Samsung was going to announce the Galaxy S IV in February 2013, ship it a month later, and that it’ll feature a 5 inch display. Samsung, not being all too thrilled with the internet talking about the next Galaxy S when the current Galaxy S is barely four months old, went on Twitter to say that the rumors are false. Samsung begins mass production of 128GB embedded flash memory, 2GB LPDDR3 RAM for mobile devices

Samsung has announced that they have started producing 128GB ultra-fast embedded flash memory and 2GB LPDDR3 RAM for smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices. They announced last month that they have started production of the embedded flash memory in 16, 32 and 64-gigabyte (GB) densities. The 128GB eMMC Pro uses eMMC 4.5 standard that delivers up to 140 MB/s (megabytes per second) sequential reading speeds and up to 50 MB/s sequential writing speeds. Rumor: Samsung Galaxy S IV to ship in March 2013 with a 5″ screen

Samsung’s Galaxy S III started shipping in late May, meaning it’s been out on the market for less than four months. Is it a bit crazy to be talking about the Galaxy S IV? Maybe, but let’s do it anyway! According to The Korea Times, the next Galaxy S will be announced at Mobile World Congress 2013. It’ll ship one month later, in March. Samsung Galaxy Chat now available in India for Rs. 8499


Samsung Galaxy Chat (B5330) is now available in India from online retailer Saholic. It was announced in July and packs in a 3.0-inch (240×320 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and has a full QWERTY keyboard. It is powered by a 850 MHz processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has a 2MP camera at the back and also lets you launch the camera and directly from the lock screen. Samsung Galaxy S3 price drops to Rs. 34900


Samsung Galaxy S3 has got a price cut in India, and is available for Rs. 34900 from select online retailers in India. TheGalaxy S3 was launched in India in May for a MRP of Rs. 43,180, and the Garnet Red version went on sale last week for a MOP of Rs. 37,500. The Galaxy S3 price is now on-par with the HTC One X . Galaxy Note II sales expected to top 20 million says Samsung

When Samsung announced its phablet, the Galaxy Note, it was not expected to become the hugely successful product it is today. Cumulative sales for the crossover between a phone and a tablet have crossed 10 million units. Last month, the Korean manufacturer announced its successor called the Galaxy Note II.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Jelly Bean update to roll out starting from October, update for Galaxy S2 in November


Samsung Denmark has released a schedule for upcoming updates for several Samsung Devices. The table indicates that the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) upgrade would be rolled out for Galaxy S3 in October or November 2012. The Samsung Galaxy S2 would get the update in November 2012. The Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update would bring faster performance, Google Now service, contextual search, Better notifications and more new features. Samsung Galaxy Beam Review


Samsung launched the Galaxy Beam (GT-i8530) with a pico projector in India in July. It was announced at MWC 2012 earlier this year. Even though the main feature of this phone is the projector, it packs in powerful specs including a 4.0-inch 480×800 (WVGA) TFT display, 1 GHz Dual-Core Processor and is just 12.5 mm thick. 4G LTE Speed Test on EE featuring the Galaxy S3 LTE and Ascend P1 LTE

Today’s announcement by EE on the arrival of 4G LTE in the UK heralds a new era in this Britain’s telecommunication industry. It’s been a long time waiting, and judging by the initial hands on demonstration, it seems that it will be worth the wait.

Huawei’s Ascend P1 and the Samsung Galaxy S3 were two of the few handsets on display at the EE press conference today. Initial speed test shows that the devices were capable of achieving and maintaining 25+Mbps download and 12+Mbps upload speed, a fair upgrade over T-Mobile’s current 3G network.

No price plans has been announced yet. The rollout of EE’s 4G LTE network will begin this year and they aim to cover 1/3rd of the population by the end of the year.

Here is the unboxing of the Galaxy Note 800, Samsung’s latest tablet that launched in India in August. It packs in a 10.1-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) TFT display, 1.4 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It also comes with a stylus called S Pen. It has a SIM card slot, microSD card slot and has support for voice calls. It has 5 Megapixel Auto Focus Camera at the back with LED Flash and a 1.9 Megapixel front-facing camera. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 with Dual-SIM support surfaces in China

Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 2 at IFA, which is expected to arrive in UK in mid-October. Now, Galaxy Note 2 with Dual SIM support and Dual Standby has surfaced in China for the operator China Unicom. This phone would come with a normal SIM slot and a micro SIM slot, other than the microSD card slot, as you can see in the image above. Samsung Galaxy SIII in Garnet Red now available in stores in India.

At IFA2012 Samsung Mobile announced four more colours for Samsung Galaxy SIII, mainly Garnet Red, Sapphire Black, Amber Brown and Titanium Gray. Samsung Mobile India has launched Garnet Red version of Galaxy SIII (16GB) in India on Samsung e-store. It is now also available in Samsung premium and flagship stores as well local stores in India. The MRP of Garnet Red SIII is same as other 16GB variants which is Rs.42,500 and it’s retail price is around Rs. 37,500. Similar to blue and white, this variant has its packaging in Red.
