Microsoft has opened pre-orders in India for the new Surface Pro 12-inch, the next-generation Copilot+ PC launched earlier this year. Weighing 680 grams, the device features a 2-in-1 layout that allows users to switch easily between tablet and laptop modes with the built-in kickstand and detachable keyboard.
The Surface Slim Pen magnetically secures to the back for storage and charging. Microsoft highlighted sustainability in the Surface Pro 12-inch, using 82.9% recycled materials in the enclosure, 100% recycled cobalt in the battery, and replaceable components to reduce e-waste.
The device is powered by the Snapdragon X Plus processor with a 45 TOPS NPU, delivering smooth AI-optimized performance, up to 16 hours of video playback, a 12-inch PixelSense Flow Touch Display with up to 90Hz refresh, and two USB-C ports for external displays and fast charging.
Copilot+ AI Features
The Copilot+ PC offers intelligent tools for writing, summarizing, and multitasking. Key AI features include:
- Recall (preview): Quickly retrace steps across apps, images, and documents.
- Click to Do (preview): Identify text and images and take action via AI models.
- New agent in Settings: For issue troubleshooting and task automation (Windows Insiders).
