Along with the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi also introduced the Xiaomi 17 Pro and a new Xiaomi 17 Pro Max category.
Display
The 17 Pro has a 6.3-inch 1.5K OLED flat M10 LTPO panel with 1-120Hz refresh rate, and 1.18mm ultra-narrow uniform bezels by adopting LIPO display packaging technology. There is a 2.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED rear screen.
The 17 Pro Max has a 6.9-inch 2K OLED flat M10 LTPO panel with 1-120Hz refresh rate and adopts the independent pixel array technology, achieving sharper clarity while consuming less power than conventional 2K displays. It is also equipped with Xiaomi Shield Glass 3.0, a super solid display glass to secure safe, sturdy use of the screen. There is a 2.9-inch 120Hz AMOLED rear screen.
The phones are equipped with a domestically produced SuperRED luminous material, a technology breakthrough leading in more advanced luminous efficiency, with a peak brightness of up to 3500 nits.
Dynamic Back Display
The Dynamic Back Display enhances lifestyle and efficiency under various scenarios: customizable watch faces, AI wallpapers, virtual pets, dynamic information notifications, sticky notes, and so much more.
Photos of pets or people can be processed into AI wallpapers and displayed on the back screen, supporting even dynamic wallpaper and with fun choices of portrait style. Moreover, the upgraded virtual pet feature introduces the third-generation pet — “Pangda” the panda, which could perform rich actions based on different scenarios and can also interact with user gestures.
Meanwhile, the Dynamic Back Display provides a wide range of real-time notification, such as flight notifications, train ticket updates, takeaway delivery or ride-hailing status, music playback and more. The flexible pin feature allows users to pin schedules, QR codes, and even emojis on the secondary screen. Moreover, the back display supports both preview and selfie functions, allowing users to shoot selfies directly using the main cameras. It is also enhanced with advanced beauty algorithms and wide choices of filter for clearer, more natural-looking shots, along with unlimited imagination to shoot with the dual display.
Close the main displays, this device will instantly transform into Handheld-Console Mode with the Retro Handheld Gamer Case that is sold separately. It fits comfortably in one hand without missing any notifications shown on the back, and with the exclusive case connected via Bluetooth, it turns into a retro gaming console.
Camera
The Xiaomi 17 Pro series features the Leica Summilux imaging system. The main camera has f/1.67 large aperture, a 1G+6P lens, and anti-glare lens coating, powered by Light Fusion 950L with a large 1/1.28″ size sensor and next-generation LOFIC High Dynamic technology, achieving an ultra-high 16.5EV sensor dynamic range.
Xiaomi 17 Pro has an inverted floating telephoto lens and supports 20cm telephoto macro shots. Xiaomi 17 Pro Max features a 5x periscope telephoto lens with an expanded 1/2″ sensor, an f/2.6 large aperture, and hardware-level HDR support. Its new light-gathering prism structure significantly enhances light capture, resulting in a 30% increase in light intake. The phones feature a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and the front camera have also been upgraded to 50MP.
Battery
The Xiaomi 17 Pro series features a high 16% silicon content for high energy density, and L-shaped stacked battery maximizing internal space utilization to significantly boost energy density while maintaining a slim form factor.
There is a 6300mAh battery in Xiaomi 17 Pro, while Xiaomi 17 Pro Max gets a 7500mAh battery. Xiaomi 17 Pro series models support 100W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and the 100W PPS universal fast charging protocol. Furthermore, these are UWB-enabled for smart car key functionality for keyless access and barrier-free interactions.
