HONOR has introduced X9d 5G, the company’s latest smartphone in the X9 series, in Malaysia. This was introduced in China as HONOR X70 back in July, but the cameras have been enhanced.
The HONOR X9d packs a 6.79″ 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED display with up to 6000 nits peak brightness, is powered by Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 with up to 12GB of RAM.
The main highlight of the phone is the huge, 8300mAh third-generation silicon-carbon battery with six-year durability. Even with a huge battery, it weighs under 200 grams and is under 8mm. The phone has 66W fast charging, but doesn’t have wireless charging support that was present in the 512GB model of the phone in China.
The phone has the industry’s first SGS Triple-resistant Premium Performance certification, with durable protection against drops from up to 2.5 meters, dust and water with IP69K + IP68 + IP66 certification that can withstand splashes, rain, high-pressure water exposure, and is sealed to protect the phone against fine particles like sand and construction dust.
Ultra tough tempered glass with an industry first multilayer cushioning design, featuring a ballistic-grade damping layer for enhanced shock absorption, said the company.

Pricing and availability
The HONOR X9d 5G comes in Reddish Brown, Midnight Black, Sunrise Gold, and Forest Green colours and is priced at RM 1499 (USD 355 / Rs. 31,500 approx.) for the 12GB + 256GB model and the 12GB + 512GB model costs RM 1699 (USD 402 / Rs. 35,705 approx.). The phone is already available to order in Malaysia.
