
Qualcomm today introduced its flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform that promises 20% improvements in CPU, 23% GPU performance improvements, 16% overall improvements in power efficiency and 37% faster NPU.
It also confirmed that several OEMs including HONOR, iQOO, Nubia, OnePlus, OPPO, POCO, realme, REDMI, RedMagic, ROG, Samsung, Sony, vivo, Xiaomi and ZTE will use the chip.
Xiaomi 17 series

POCO has confirmed that its next-gen flagship smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. This should be the POCO F8 Ultra, which should be a variant of the REDMI K90 Pro that is expected to launch in China in October.
HONOR Magic8 series and HONOR MagicPad 3 Pro

HONOR has confirmed that the HONOR Magic8 series phones and the MagicPad 3 Pro tablets will be the company’s first devices to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 mobile platform, known as “one door, two supremes”. These will be introduced in China in October.

Li Kun, flagship smartphone product manager for HONOR shared a preview of the Magic8 phone in a celadon glaze color that draws inspiration from Song Dynasty Ru porcelain. The now-rainy celadon texture adds a Ru kiln crackle glaze element. The unique cicada wing pattern of Ru porcelain spans millennia, showcasing cultural heritage and a powerful core. The phone features a right-angled bezel design and a unique cicada wing pattern.
OnePlus 15

OnePlus has confirmed that it will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for its flagship OnePlus 15 phone. It will be factory-installed with the all-new “Windspeed Gaming Core. ” The latest flagship chip is just the starting point, injecting a whole new core into the new “core.”

iQOO 15 and vivo
iQOO 15 that is coming next month will be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. vivo has also confirmed that it will use the chip in its upcoming flagship, and it should be X300 Ultra that is expected next year.

realme GT8 Pro
realme GT8 Pro which will be introduced in October will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset in China. It will also be coming to global markets, including India, with the chip. It promises elite performance with an AnTuTu score exceeding 4 million.
nubia and Redmagic
nubia Z80 Ultra and RedMagic 11 Pro series will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The RedMagic 11 Pro series will be introduced in October.
