Google Nexus 10 Unboxing

The Nexus program from Google has been transforming from a developer focused one to a completely consumer focused one. The message is very clear, Google wants to use its services(Google Play) and the best possible way to use them is by buying their Nexus devices. Starting from the Nexus One, the program has seen many phones, till the Nexus 4(See our unboxing here) a 7 inch tablet made by ASUS, the Nexus 7, but we never got to see a 10 inch one. But then, amidst “Sandy”, Google launched the first 10 inch Nexus device – The Google Nexus 10, made by Samsung. And yes, we have got it in our hands already, after a terrible launch delay. Samsung Galaxy Music Duos now available in India for Rs. 8999


Samsung Galaxy Music Duos (GT-S6012) Dual SIM phone is now available from online retailer Snapdeal in India. It was announced in October and comes with a 3-inch (240×320) display, 850 MHz processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) that is upgradable to Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) in future. It has Dual SIM (GSM+GSM) support with Always On feature that automatically forwards calls from the phone number on SIM 2, even if a user is on the phone with SIM 1’s number. Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Camera at IFA, Berlin in August, that launched in India last week. You saw the unboxing of the Galaxy Camera recently. The Galaxy Camera is a Smart Camera that runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 4.8-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD Super Clear Touch LCD Display. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 sales surpass 5 million units

Samsung has announced that they have sold over 5 million units of Galaxy Note 2 globally. Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note II at IFA in August and launched it in South Korea and India at the end of September. It took just 2 months for the Note 2 to achieve this feat, compared to 5 months for the first Note. It crossed 3 million units at the end of last month. Samsung Galaxy Camera launched in India for Rs. 29,900


Samsung has finally launched the Galaxy Camera in India. It was first unveiled at  IFA in Berlin in August, and Samsung announced couple of months back that it would launch in India this month. Samsung started taking pre-orders for the Galaxy Camera few weeks back. The 16 Megapixel camera has 21x Optical Zoom Lens with BSI CMOS sensor. It packs in a 4.8-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD Super Clear Touch Display with 308 ppi and is powered by a 1.4 GHz Quad-Core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE with Android Jelly Bean launched in Korea

Samsung has launched the Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE running Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) for the Korean Market. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE comes with similar features as the Galaxy Note 10.1, including a 10.1-inch WXGA (1280 x 800 pixel) TFT display, 1.4 GHz Quad-Core Processor, 2GB RAM and a 7,000mAh battery. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE would come with VoLTE (Voice over LTE) feature that simultaneously supports voice call, video, and data transmission. Samsung begins production of faster, smaller 64GB embedded flash memory for mobile devices

Samsung has announced that they have started producing new 64GB embedded flash memory for Smartphones and Tablets. The new Samsung Embedded Multimedia Card (eMMC) Pro Class 2000 delivers up to 260 MB/s (megabytes per second) sequential reading speeds and up to 50 MB/s sequential writing speeds. It offers random write speed of 2,000 IOPS (input/output per second) and a random read speed of 5,000 IOPS. These are up to 2 times faster than the eMMC Pro Class 1500 and up to 10 times faster than the normal class 10 memory cards. Samsung ATIV Odyssey Windows Phone 8 handset leaked

At its Windows Phone 8 launch event last month, Microsoft had revealed a 2nd Samsung WP8 device which would head to Verizon. This handset would accompany the higher end ATIV S. The image of the handset was however kept under wraps. We can now see what the Samsung ATIV Odyssey looks like thanks to EVLeaks.

Samsung ATIV S hands-on

Recently we got a chance to play with the Samsung ATIV S running Windows Phone 8. While HTC and Nokia have already brought their WP8 devices to market, the ATIV S is Samsung’s top end WP8 handset and is yet anywhere. Like competing WP8 devices, the ATIV S too is powered by a 1.5Ghz Snapdragon S4 processor paired with 1GB of RAM.

Samsung Galaxy Camera Pre-Booking starts in India

Samsung India has started accepting pre-bookings for its upcoming Galaxy Camera on the company’s eStore. This interesting device is basically a point and shoot camera running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and packs 3G and WiFi connectivity. It has a massive 4.8 inch display  and 21x zoom.One cannot make calls from this device though. Samsung had previously told FoneArena that the Galaxy Camera would be launched during Diwali and looks like this Android based Camera will be going on sale soon.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Android 4.1 update starts rolling in Germany

Samsung has started rolling out Android 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean) update for the Galaxy Note 10.1 starting from Germany. Samsung announced the GALAXY Note 10.1 at MWC 2012, but launched the tablet with upgraded specs in August. Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 10.1 in India as Galaxy Note 800 at the end of August.
