Over 10 million Galaxy SIII sales since launch says Samsung

Back in June, Samsung had announced that the Galaxy SIII would reach 10 million sales by July and it seems that they’ve reached that goal right on schedule. Shin Jying Kyun of Samsung has announced that the Galaxy SIII crossed the 10 million sales mark since its launch on May 29th.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 now available in India for Rs. 32990


Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (GT-P5100) that was announced at MWC 2012 earlier this year is now on sale in India from Samsung eStore. The Galaxy Tab 2 310, 7-inch variant that we reviewed recently officially launched in India in May. It has 10.1-inch WXGA(1280×800) PLS TFT display, 1 GHz Dual-Core Processor, Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) with Touchwiz UI, 3MP rear-facing camera and VGA front facing camera. Samsung Galaxy Beam launched in India for Rs. 33,900


Samsung has launched the Galaxy Beam, successor of their previous Beam, in India. It was announced at MWC earlier this year and went on pre-order last month and went on sale last week. It comes with 4.0-inch 480×800 (WVGA) TFT display and is powered by 1 GHz Dual-Core Processor. It has 15 lumens pico projector that allows users to share photos, videos or other digital media instantly and in crisp clarity up to 50-inch wide, at a distance of 2 meters. It is 12.5mm thick. Garnet Red Samsung Galaxy S III exclusively coming to AT&T, pre-order starts on July 15

AT&T has announced that the Samsung Galaxy S III would be available exclusively in Garnet Red color by this month as they promised. It has similar features as the White and Blue version including, 4.8-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD Super AMOLED display and is powered by Snapdragon S4  1.5 GHz Dual Core processor. Garnet Red Samsung Galaxy S3 for AT&T – Official Photos

AT&T has announced the pre-order for the Garnet Red variant of the Samsung Galaxy S3 which is exclusive to AT&T. Customers can pre-order this device through the operators website and in the company’s retail stores starting from July 15. In-store availability is set for July 29th.  We have already seen the White Galaxy S3 and the Pebble Blue S3 and this is the first glimpse at the red one. There a couple of photos after the jump.

Samsung Galaxy S III LTE sales reach 50,000 units in Korea on launch day

Samsung has announced that they have sold 50,000 Galaxy S III LTE units through three major Korean mobile carriers on the launch day. Samsung launched the Galaxy S III in Korea last month and launched the Galaxy S III LTE on 9th of July. This is a new record in sales, Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy S II sold 10,000 and 24,000 units respectively on the first day. Samsung to launch Windows RT based tablet by October reports Bloomberg

Bloomberg reports that Samsung will be launching a Windows RT based tablet come October. With Microsoft entering the tablet game themselves by launching the Surface line of tablets, it will be interesting to see how Samsung differentiates itself.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 310 Review

You saw the unboxing of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 310 back in May, here is the full review of the tablet. It was announced in February, unveiled in Asia in March and launched in India in May. This tablet packs in a 7-inch (1024×600) PLS TFT LCD display and is powered by 1GHz dual-core processor. Yes, it runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos Unboxing

Here is the unboxing of the Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos (GT- S6802) Dual SIM GSM smartphone that was launched in India in India last month. It looks similar to the Galaxy Ace that was launched last year, even the thickness is same at 11.5 mm inches but it’s a bit heavy at 122 g. It comes with 832 MHz processor, a bit better than the Galaxy Ace that had 800 MHz processor. There ia a 5MP auto focus camera at the back but there is no LED flash that was present in the Ace. Post the Android 4.1 announcement at Google I/O a few days back, Samsung has finally begun the Android 4.0 update roll out to its tablet lineup. Starting off with the Galaxy Tab 7.7, the rest of the devices still stuck on Honeycomb should get the update shortly.

Samsung Galaxy Chat with 3-inch display, QWERTY keyboard and Android 4.0 announced

Samsung has announced Galaxy Chat, their first mid-range phone running on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has a 3.0-inch (240×320 pixels) QVGA touch screen display and a full QWERTY keyboard and is powered by a 850MHz processor. It has 2MP camera at the back and also lets you launch the camera or view your notifications directly from the lock screen. It has Samsung’s ChatON messenger and a dedicated key to access it. It was expected to be available in South West Asia including India in May, but it got delayed. It has a 4.0-inch 480×800 (WVGA) TFT display and is powered by 1 GHz Dual-Core Processor. It has 15 lumens pico projector that allows users to share photos, videos or other digital media instantly and in crisp clarity up to 50-inch wide. Samsung Galaxy S3 launched in Korea, LTE version with quad-core processor coming in July

Samsung has launched the Galaxy S3 in Korea. It would have similar specs including a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED Display (1280×720), 1.4GHz Exynos quad-core processor, 8MP Rear-facing camera and 1.9MP Front-facing camera and 2,100 mAh battery. Samsung has confirmed to  the Verge that the LTE version would also similar specs with a separate LTE modem chip. The LTE variants in the US, Canada and Japan came with 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor. Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos Dual SIM GSM Smartphone officially launched in India


Samsung has officially launched the Samsung Galaxy Ace DUOS (GT- S6802) in India. It was announced last month and went on sale earlier this month. It has Dual SIM support with hot swap function and Dual SIM always-on feature that automatically forwards calls from the phone number on SIM 2, even if a user is on the phone with SIM 1’s number. It has 3.5-inch (320 x 480 Pixels) TFT touch screen display and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS. It is powered by 832 MHz processor and has 5MP Auto Focus camera.
