Samsung has finally launched the Galaxy Note5 Dual SIM (SM-N9208), Dual SIM variant of its flagship Galaxy Note5 smartphone in India. The Galaxy Note5 Dual SIM was first launched in Taiwan and was launched in Asian countries like Malaysia and Philippines later. It has two nano SIM card slots, but these are not hybrid SIM card slots like the Galaxy A series, so you can’t use the secondary SIM slot as a microSD expansion slot. Samsung released the Gear Fit fitness tracker at the MWC 2014. It did not release any new fitness trackers last year, instead it introduced several smartwatches in the Gear S2 series. Couple of months back there was a report that said that Samsung is working on a entry-level activity tracker with the model number SM-R150. Now Tizen Cafe (Via) has posted images of the upcoming Samsung Gear Fit 2 activity tracker.

According to a new patent, Samsung is working on a smartphone case that comes with a built-in S Pen. The patent diagrams suggest that stylus will be placed at the bottom of the case, similar to the one present on the Galaxy Note 5.

Google has updated the Google Now launcher with landscape support on phones, which is now back after it was tested in Marshmallow developer preview. You can enable the new feature by enabling the ‘Allow rotation’ option in the settings. Some on-screen elements like the persistent search bar will adjust to accommodate each layout and the items in the dock also rotate individually to stack along the right side of the screen. Samsung today announced that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor will use Samsung’s 2nd generation 14nm FinFET process. It also announced that it has started mass production of its latest chips, including the Exynos 8 Octa 8890 SoC that uses its 14nm LPP (Low-Power Plus) process, the 2nd generation of the company’s 14nm FinFET process technology. Samsung has finally introduced the Galaxy J1 2016, successor of last year’s Galaxy J1 in Dubai, reports GSMArena. The phone is already on display in Jumbo electronics showroom, who is a retailer in UAE. It packs a 4.5-inch WVGA Super AMOLED display, is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop), has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It has 4G LTE connectivity and is expected to come with dual SIM support in select markets like India. Samsung Galaxy J1 2016 (SM-J120F), successor of the Galaxy J1 had surfaced in live images last month, now press shots of the smartphone have surfaced, thanks to @evleaks. The lockscreen on the image shows the date as December 12th, but Samsung is yet to announce the smartphone. We already know most of the specifications of the new Galaxy J1. Check them out below. Samsung has announced earnings guidance for Q4 2015 and it looks like the company is on a road to recovery. The South Korean tech giant expects about 6.1 trillion Korean won ($5.1 billion) in consolidated operating profit which is based against 53 trillion Korean won ($44 billion) in consolidated sales.
