Swipe Technologies has launched ELITE, the company’s first smartphone in the online-only Elite sub-brand, exclusively on Flipkart, as it promised. It packs a 5-inch HD 2.5D cured glass display with 2mm narrow bezel, is powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with Swipe’s own Freedom OS. It was announced at the Galaxy Unpacked 2015 event last week and packs a 5.7-inch Quad HD (2560×1440 pixels) Super AMOLED display that is curved on both the sides, is powered by a Octa-Core ( Quad 2.1GHz + Quad 1.5GHz) Exynos 7420 processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ smartphones at the Galaxy Unpacked last week. Now the Galaxy Note5 Duos (SM-G9198) has been revealed by ePrice in Taiwan (Via). It shows two nano SIM card slots, but these are not hybrid SIM card slots like the Galaxy A series, so you can’t use the secondary SIM slot as a microSD expansion slot. This confirms earlier rumors and puts an end to rumors that said that dual SIM variant will have a microSD card slot. Samsung introduced G9098, an Android flip phone with dual displays in China last year. This year the company has introduced (Via) G9198, an upgraded version with dual 3.9-inch (768 x 1280 pixels) WXGA Super AMOLED screens, one on the front and the the other on the inside along with a T9 keypad. It is powered by a hexa-core Snapdragon 808, has a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S6 edge+ at the Galaxy Unpacked 2015 simultaneously in New York and London yesterday. We weren’t able to attend the event, but we managed to get some images of the smartphone for you.
Samsung did not announce the company’s next Gear smartwatch at the Galaxy Unpacked 2015 event today as rumored earlier, but it teased the Gear S2 smartwatch at the event. Samsung’s teaser shows that smartwatch will have a round display as expected. It also shows a metal casing, which could just be a placeholder. We already know that it will run on Tizen-based wearable OS, similar to the Gear S that was introduced last year.
