Two years back, at a similar event in Berlin, Samsung announced its first smartwatch, the Galaxy Gear along with other smartphones and tablets. Fast forward two years, we have an event dedicated to its latest smartwatch, the Gear S2, which was teased at the Note 5 event in New York. Announced a couple of days back, the first circular smart wearable from Samsung brings not only a completely circular UI, but also a circular UX, with a rotating bezel. We think it’s quite an interesting take on properly utilizing a smartwatch’s miniscule screen real estate. Naturally, we went hands on with it and here are our impressions –

It is a small sensor in the form of a flat disk that tracks your sleep by placing it under a bed’s mattress, providing contact-less monitoring of a person’s heart and respiratory rate including movements during sleep.

Sony has officially entered the phablet category with its Xperia Z5 Premium. The device has 5.5-inch display with a whopping 4K resolution. The device is a direct competition for Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and will rub its shoulders against Apple iPhone 6 Plus.

Samsung has launched the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 (SM-T815Y), the latest tablet in the Galaxy Tab S series in India. It has a 9.7-inch Super AMOLED display at QXGA resolution, is powered by a Octa-Core Exynos SoCs and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera without flash and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera. It is just 5.6mm thick, making it the world’s thinnest tablet currently. Samsung has announced its Gear S2 range of smartwatches – Gear S2, Gear S2 3G and Gear S2 classic, ahead of IFA 2015. Last year it announced only one version called the Gear S with 3G support. All these have a 1.2-inch ( 360×360 pixels) Circular Super AMOLED displays, rotating bezel and run on Tizen based wearable platform. These also have Home and Back buttons to access notifications and applications easily.The Gear S2 3G has built-in e-SIM support that lets you independently make and receive calls, without connecting to a device and also offers 3G support. Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace (J110H), the latest budget smartphone from the company that was surfaced earlier today is now on sale in India from offline retailers. It has a 4.3-inch (480 x 800 pixels) Super AMOLED display that you rarely get in budget smartphones, but it has 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage, which might not attract the buyers. It has a similar design and almost similar specifications as the Galaxy J1 that went on sale in India earlier this year. Samsung is all set to launch Galaxy J1 ACE (J110H), its new budget smartphone in India soon, according to Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom. The smartphone already surfaced on User Agent Profile that revealed a 4.3-inch WVGA screen, quad-core Marvell PXA1908 SoC and 4G LTE support. According to SammyHub, the Galaxy J1 ACE will feature a Super AMOLED display, which is rarely seen on budget smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy Note5 is the latest addition to the Note family of phablets. It carries over the same design language and materials used on the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge and mixes it to the Note series. What we get as a result is a really good looking phone that has one of the best designs we have seen on an Android smartphone.
