Samsung today announced that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor will use Samsung’s 2nd generation 14nm FinFET process. It also announced that it has started mass production of its latest chips, including the Exynos 8 Octa 8890 SoC that uses its 14nm LPP (Low-Power Plus) process, the 2nd generation of the company’s 14nm FinFET process technology. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge are rumored to make an appearance at MWC 2016 taking place in Barcelona or at an event just before it. So far, we have been expecting the Galaxy S7 and the S7 edge from the event but a new promo image indicates that we may see an S7 edge+ also alongside the former two.

Samsung has finally introduced the Galaxy J1 2016, successor of last year’s Galaxy J1 in Dubai, reports GSMArena. The phone is already on display in Jumbo electronics showroom, who is a retailer in UAE. It packs a 4.5-inch WVGA Super AMOLED display, is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop), has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It has 4G LTE connectivity and is expected to come with dual SIM support in select markets like India. Samsung Galaxy J1 2016 (SM-J120F), successor of the Galaxy J1 had surfaced in live images last month, now press shots of the smartphone have surfaced, thanks to @evleaks. The lockscreen on the image shows the date as December 12th, but Samsung is yet to announce the smartphone. We already know most of the specifications of the new Galaxy J1. Check them out below. Samsung has announced earnings guidance for Q4 2015 and it looks like the company is on a road to recovery. The South Korean tech giant expects about 6.1 trillion Korean won ($5.1 billion) in consolidated operating profit which is based against 53 trillion Korean won ($44 billion) in consolidated sales.
