Samsung seeds Android Marshmallow accidentally to yet another device – the Galaxy S5

In the latter half of 2015, Samsung seeded an update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow for both the Galaxy Note5 as well as the Galaxy Note 4. This was accidental and both the smartphones are yet to receive a mass update to the latest Android version. However, it seems that another lucky user has gotten a similar update on his Galaxy S5.

Samsung has launched its new Gear VR Powered by Oculus at an event in India, as expected. It is compatible with Samsung Galaxy Note5, Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge smartphones, is 22% lighter than previous Gear VR Innovator Edition and has an improved touchpad that provides easier control to access films, gaming, 360 degree video and experiential content available for Gear VR. It also comes with a new foam cushioning to make the device more comfortable to wear, according to Samsung. Samsung has launched its Gear S2 range of smartwatches – Gear S2 and Gear S2 Classic in India, as expected. These have a 1.2-inch ( 360×360 pixels) Circular Super AMOLED displays, rotating bezel and run on Tizen based wearable platform. Exynos 8890 powered variant of Samsung Galaxy S7 appears on AnTuTu

It has been rumoured for quite a while that the Galaxy S7 and its variants will come with both Exynos as well as Snapdragon processors. The Snapdragon 820 processor variant of the S7 has made several appearances online and now the Exynos variant of the S7 has been confirmed as well thanks to a new listing on AnTuTu.

US court orders Samsung to stop selling some phones over infringement lawsuit

A US court has banned Samsung from selling a bunch of smartphones that were found to be infringing on Apple’s utility patents. The ban covers the implementation of features such as “slide-to-unlock” and auto word correction capabilities in some of Samsung’s earlier phones.

Samsung silently fixes S Pen issue in newer Galaxy Note5 units

Samsung has finally launched the Galaxy Note5 Dual SIM (SM-N9208), Dual SIM variant of its flagship Galaxy Note5 smartphone in India. The Galaxy Note5 Dual SIM was first launched in Taiwan and was launched in Asian countries like Malaysia and Philippines later. It has two nano SIM card slots, but these are not hybrid SIM card slots like the Galaxy A series, so you can’t use the secondary SIM slot as a microSD expansion slot.
