realme launched the Realme 2 Pro smartphone in India last year running ColorOS 5.2 on top of Android 8.1 (Oreo) and updated it to Android 9.0 (Pie) based ColorOS 6 back in June. Last week realme confirmed that realme X2 Pro, the company’s flagship smartphone will be launched in India on Flipkart on November 20th. Few days back the company announced that it will sell the launch event entry tickets online starting from November 12th and 12 noon for Rs. 299. realme calls this its biggest event ever, where we can expect accessories such as fitness band, as hinted by the CEO recently. The event is happening at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi. Update: November 6, 2019 – Flipkart has started teasing the launch of the phone with a new teaser and a page.

Realme launched the realme 5 and realme 5 Pro back in August this year and looks like the company is now all set to bring the upcoming realme 5s smartphone in India and Thailand as the smartphone receives BIS certification in India and is listed on Thailand’s NBTC as well.

Realme’s smartphone run ColorOS 6, based on Android 9 (Pie), and some of its latest phones have some tweaks so they call it ColorOS 6 realme edition. In the latest episode of #AskMadhav, the company’s CEO, Madhav Sheth has answered some questions about their future OS. When asked about ColorOS 6.0.1, he said that realme phones will directly get ColorOS 7.0, which will likely be based on Android 10 that will roll out next year. Realme launched the realme 1 smartphone last year and launched the realme U1 smartphone late last year. After announcing Dark Mode to all ColorOS 6 phones last month, Realme has now started rolling out a new update to realme 1 and realme U1 with the addition of Dark Mode.

It has a 6.55-inch FHD+ display with 91.7% screen-to-body ratio, HDR10+ support, hardware-level DC Dimming 2.0, 90Hz refresh rate and 135Hz touch sampling rate, is powered by Snapdragon 855 Plus with up to 12GB RAM, liquid cooling along with superconducting carbon fiber for improved heat dissipation, runs Android Pie with ColorOS on top, features quad rear cameras that includes a 64-megapixel primary rear camera with 1/1.72″ Samsung GW1 sensor and f/1.8 aperture, 8MP 115° ultra-wide angle lens that will also be capable of shooting 2.5cm macro shots, 13-megapixel telephoto lens for 20x hybrid zoom and 2MP depth sensor. I can’t help but think Realme is preparing its boundaries to justify their future flagship killer with excellent build quality on a beautiful looking XT. Initially I felt bad for quick successive phones being launched in a short span of time but when the Realme X came out, it showed that a full display design language can be brought down to mid-range without many compromises. But for those who are not in favour of moving parts, like me, the XT takes it down a notch as a decent compromise. Now after using the phone for the past 21 days, the Realme XT has impressed me in many ways and in the meantime it also has a few areas of concern. Hence the review in which I will get all your doubts cleared, whether to go with the Realme XT or to wait for future devices from Realme.
