Mahindra partners with Qualcomm for the all-new Scorpio-N

Mahindra and Qualcomm are working together to improve the electronics inside the Scorpio N in the near future. As part of the deal, Qualcomm and Visteon Corporation, which makes electronics for cars, will work together. The two will add new features to Mahindra’s third-generation Snapdragon Cockpit platform for the Scorpio N, which will be released soon. The above said platform will aid in high levels of computing as well as intelligence for features that are new and better, especially in terms of security. Snapdragon 8 Gen2 launch expected at Snapdragon Tech Summit 2022 in November

Rumours about the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 SoC surfaced recently, which revealed that the chip will use 1+2+2+3 four-cluster architecture compared to 1+3+4 tri-cluster architecture. Nokia, Elisa and Qualcomm achieve record 2.1 Gbps upload speed on 5G mmWave Spectrum

This was achieved in a live demonstration at the Nokia Arena in Tampere in Finland. Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 could use four-cluster architecture

Qualcomm introduced the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 last year, and the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 was introduced last month as a minor upgrade offering a slight increase in performance. It should release the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (SM8550) next year. According to leaker Digital Chat Station, Qualcomm might switch from 1+3+4 tri-cluster architecture to 1+2+2+3 architecture. Qualcomm leads global Smartphone SoC market with 44% share in Q1 2022: Report

According to a Counterpoint research report, the global smartphone SoC (System on Chip) chipset and baseband market grew 23% year-on-year in Q1 2022, resulting in a 36% increase over the same period last year. Qualcomm leads the SoC and baseband market in Q1 2022, with a 56% YoY increase, followed by Apple, MediaTek, and others. Snapdragon Spaces open for all; Developer kit released

Qualcomm introduced Snapdragon Spaces XR Developer Platform back in November last year. Earlier this year, it announced a partnership with game developer Square Enix, that let the two companies to work on new extended reality (XR) experiences through the Snapdragon Spaces XR Developer Platform. Qualcomm Wireless AR Smart Viewer reference design announced

Along with the new Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 and Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, Qualcomm has also introduced a new Wireless AR Smart Viewer Reference Design that OEMs could adapt into commercial headsets at the  Snapdragon Night event in China. AMD and Qualcomm to optimize FastConnect for Ryzen processors

Qualcomm and AMD have signed a partnership to contribute to the optimization of Qualcomm’s FastConnect system on AMD Ryzen processor-based computing platforms. With FastConnect’s platform, the two companies want to give IT administrators Wi-Fi management tools through AMD PRO processors, which are part of the company’s corporate technology portfolio. Qualcomm unveils Robotics RB6 Platform with 5G
