Snapdragon 8 Gen2 launch expected at Snapdragon Tech Summit 2022 in November


Rumours about the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 SoC surfaced recently, which revealed that the chip will use 1+2+2+3 four-cluster architecture compared to 1+3+4 tri-cluster architecture. Now, Qualcomm has officially scheduled its Snapdragon Tech Summit for this year on November 14th and 17th, where it is expected to introduce its flagship chip.

To remind you, the company introduced the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 SoC at its Snapdragon Tech Summit on November 30th. Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro are expected to be one of the first phones to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen2, and these are expected to launch in November itself.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen2 is said to stick with TSMC’s 4nm process tech. It could use 1 x Kryo Prime CPU (Arm Cortex-X3-based), 2 x Kryo Performance CPUs (A720-based), 2 x Kryo Performance CPUs (A710-based) and 3x Kryo Efficiency CPUs (A510-based). We can expect Adreno 740 GPU.

According to leaker Digital Chat Station, we can expect several flagship smartphones powered by the chip are expected in December.
