Sony Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium launching in India on October 21

Sony has sent out press invites for the launch of the company’s latest Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium flagship smartphones in India on October 21st. Both these were announced at the IFA last month in Berlin. These smartphones pack a 23-megapixel rear camera with 1/2.3″ Sony Exmor RS image sensor, f/2.0 aperture, Sony G lens, Hybrid AF speed of 0.03s, 4K video recording and a 5-megapixel 1080p front-facing camera with EXMOR R sensor. Panasonic has launched two new smartphones, P50 Idol and P65 Flash in India. The Panasonic P50 Idol packs a 5-inch HD screen, while the P65 Flash comes with a 5.5-inch HD display. Both these smartphones are powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, run on Android 5.1 (Lollipop), have a 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Xiaomi Mi USB Fan launched in India for Rs. 249

Xiaomi has finally launched the Mi Portable USB fan in India. The Mi portable fan comes with a body that has a motor and a USB port. The plastic blade needs to be attached to the top and has a flexible body, similar to the Mi LED light that was launched earlier this year. It only makes 25.8db of noise, says the company. Dell acquires data storage firm EMC for $67 billion

Dell has acquired data storage giant EMC in what is said to be the largest technology deal ever worth $67 billion. Under the terms of the agreement, EMC shareholders will receive $24.05 per share in cash in addition to tracking stock linked to a portion of EMC’s economic interest in the VMware business.

Motorola Moto G (2nd Gen) 4G launched in India for Rs. 8999

Motorola launched the Moto G (2nd Gen) in India last year at a price tag of Rs. 12,999, which currently retails for Rs. 9,999 after several price cut. Today the company has launched the 4G version of the smartphone called the Moto G (2nd Gen) 4G. It comes with similar specifications as the 3G version, including a 5-inch HD screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection,  1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, dual front-facing speakers and Dual SIM support, but this has a 2390mAh battery in addition to 4G connectivity with support for 4G bands for India.
