NVIDIA unveils Tegra 4i with integrated LTE, quad-core A9 R4 CPU, 60 GPU Cores

NVIDIA has announced the Tegra 4i, their first quad-core mobile processor integrated with LTE capabilities. NVIDIA unveiled the Tegra 4 with 72 GPUs cores and 4 ARM A15 CPU cores at the CES 2013 last month. It had optional Icera i500 modem, but the Tegra 4i comes with the integrated i500 modem. The Tegra 4i has 60 GPUs cores, 4 ARM A9  r4 CPU cores with clock speeds up to 2.3 GHz per core. They also promise long battery life with the fifth battery saver core. NVIDIA unveils Tegra 4 with quad-core A15 CPU, 72 GPU Cores

NVIDIA has announced Tegra 4 processor for smartphones and tablets that has 72 GPUs cores and 4 ARM A15 CPU cores at CES 2013. It also comes with an optional 4G LTE chipset. NVIDIA is calling it the fastest mobile processor in the world. The Tegra 4 tablet takes 24 seconds to load 25 unique web pages, twice faster than the Nexus 10 that has a dual-core A15 CPU. The Tegra 4 slide leaked last month revealing the features. Nvidia Tegra 4 slide leaks – Wayne GPU brings 72 cores

 

What you see above is a leaked slide from a Nvidia Tegra 4 aka Wayne presentation that appeared on the Chinese social networking site Sina Weibo. The slide reveals some interesting details about the new system on a chip from Nvidia, the apparent successor to the Tegra 3 mobile platform.

NVIDIA announces support for Miracast wireless display standard for Tegra 3 devices

NVIDIA has announced that they would bring support for Miracast, open wireless display standard  that was announced earlier this May. It would let Tegra 3 users to instantly stream content including photos and HDTVs to any Miracast-enabled display. The quad-core Tegra 3 chip would also let you stream intensive games such as ShadowGun THD which is Tegra 3-optimized game on to HDTVs. NVIDIA launches Heroes Call and Puddle THD, unveils new Tegra 3 optimized games

NVIDIA has launched Heroes Call, an action RPG and Puddle THD, popular Xbox Live Arcade and PSN game for Tegra devices that were announced earlier this month . They have also announced new games including Horn that was demoed at Google I/O keynote, Beach Buggy Blitz THD and ExZeus II THD. NVIDIA unveils 5 new Tegra 3 optimized games at E3

NVIDIA has announced 5 new games optimized for next-gen Tegra 3 4-PLUS-1 quad-core Android devices at E3 2012. These games include, Dead Trigger, Puddle THD, Demons’ Score THD, Bounty Arms and Heroes Call. These games on Tegra 3, with four performance processing cores, in addition to its fifth battery saver core, and a 12-core GeForce GPU would offer perfect gaming experience. NVIDIA introduces Tegra 3 for smartphones with 4-plus-1 quadcore processor

nVIDIA were the first to introduce a quadcore processor to the consumers with the ASUS Transformer Prime, and now it has become first to introduce them on smartphones too. At MWC 2012 which is going on right now, there are many devices which are being powered by nVIDIA’s Tegra 3 Quadcore processor including HTC’s One X, LG Optimus 4X HD, ZTE Era, K-Touch Treasure v8 and Fujitsu’s smartphone.

NVIDIA Tegra 3 vSMP architecture renamed as 4-PLUS-1

NVIDIA has officially renamed their variable Symmetric Multiprocessing (vSMP) Multi-Core CPU architecture as 4-PLUS-1 quad-core architecture. They unveiled the Quad-Core Tegra 3 processor for Tablets and Mobile Phones last November. This offers better performance with their 4 cores while playing HD videos and games sand uses its companion core while performing tasks that require less power consumption like playing music, e-mail, operating in standby mode or updating background data. Tegra 3 chip shortage affects NVIDIA

People have been talking about nVIDIA and Tegra 3 from the beginning of this year, last year they were the first chip manufacturers to bring out dual core chips and now this year they are again the first ones to bring out Quadcores. Though the vision and the chipset architecture is really great there have been some problems in nVIDIA’s camp and we have come to know that there is a shortage and it will affect nVIDA in a big way.

NVIDIA has unveiled the world’s first Quad-Core Tegra 3 processor for tablets and mobile phones. This is said to offer PC-class performance levels, better battery life and better mobile experiences (Better web experience, faster applications and multitasking) in tablets and mobile phones.This was previously named, Project Kal-El that was confirmed by the Nvidia CEO in AsiaD last month.
