NVIDIA Project Shield, the company’s first gaming console with a 5-inch HD display and NVIDIA’s Tegra 4 processor was released last year. There were rumors about NVIDIA working the successor for this year, now the specifications of a prototype has surfaced on AnTuTu. This reveals that the next-generation Shield console could be powered by a 64-bit quad-core NVIDIA Tegra K1 chip clocked at 2.5 GHz with 192-core NVIDIA Kepler GPU. First NVIDIA Tegra 4i based smartphones to come from French manufacturer Wiko

NVIDIA isn’t having much of a success with the smartphones and it is evident from the meagre adaptation of its chipsets in smartphones. The NVIDIA Tegra 4i was announced towards the end of 2013 and there hasn’t been a single smartphone in the market with it. But it looks like finally someone has adapted and we will be seeing the first NVIDIA Tegra 4i based smartphones from a French manufacturer Wiko.

NVIDIA Tegra Note 7 LTE announced, Xolo announced as partner once again

NVIDIA announced the Tegra Note, the company’s first Tegra 4 tablet last year. Today, NVIDIA has announced the LTE variant of the tablet powered by Icera i500 modem. Xolo has been announced as the hardware manufacturer for India once again. Other specifications are exactly similar to the non-LTE version including a 7-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) IPS display with support for NVIDIA DirectStylus technology and quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 4 CPU, but this runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) out of the box. NVIDIA unveils Tegra K1 192-core processor, also comes in 64-bit variant

NVIDIA has announced the Tegra K1, the company’s latest 192-core processor at the International CES 2014 in Las Vegas just now. Last year NVIDIA showed-off Logan mobile SoC with Kepler GPU, now the next-gen Tegra K1 mobile processor uses the same Keplar GPU. NVIDIA has announced that Epic Games would bring Unreal Engine 4 to Tegra K1. Kepler GPU also supports latest OpenGL 4.4 and Direct X 11.1. NVIDIA Tegra Note tablets including Xolo Play Tegra Note gets Android 4.3 update

NVIDIA has started rolling out Android 4.3 over-the-air (OTA) update for the Tegra NOTE 7 tablet that adds new features and capabilities. The company has also said that the tablet from OEMs including XOLO would get the new update. Nvidia already announced that they would push out OTA update for the tablets directly, even though it is sold by different vendors globally. This update adds new features including improvements in stylus experience, help option for DirectStylus,  high-dynamic range (AOHDR) capability in camera and more. AOHDR utilizes Tegra 4’s processing power and Chimera computational photography architecture that we saw at the Tegra 4 launch. NVIDIA announced the Tegra Note back in September. The tablet is designed by NVIDIA and is manufactured by several partners  in range of countries worldwide. NVIDIA has announced that the Tegra Note is available for pre-order in the U.S and U.K. It is manufactured by EVGA in the U.S. and ADVENT in the UK. NVIDIA has also partnered with PNY Technologies in North America, ADVENT, EVGA, Oysters and ZOTAC in Europe, Gigabyte, Shenzhen Homecare Technology and ZOTAC in Asia-Pacific and XOLO in India to sell the device. NVIDIA has announced the Tegra Note, the company’s latest tablet that is designed by NVIDIA. It is manufactured by a contract partner and would be sold thorough several partners across the world including India. The Tegra Note has a 7-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) IPS display with support for NVIDIA DirectStylus technology that bring stylus support to low-cost tablets. It is powered by a 1.8GHz quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 4 CPU and runs Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) with OTA updates directly from NVIDIA. Earlier this week there were reports about upcoming Tegra 4 tablet. This tablet would be launch in China soon, manufactured by Homecare Technology and powered the Tegra 4 processor. Now first images of the tablet has surfaced online. There are several images from different websites, even the official maker, Homecare Technology has revealed the image of the tablet. NVIDIA shows off next-gen Logan mobile SoC with Kepler GPU

NVIDIA showed off Project Logan, their next-generation, CUDA-capable mobile processor. It detailed the Tegra roadmap back in March with Logan and Parker SoCs with Kepler and Maxwell GPUs. The Keplar GPU is built on the same Kepler graphics architecture found in its latest generation of PC GPUs such as Nvidia GeForce Titan. The Logan chip would use a similar 4 + 1 arrangement similar to Tegra 3 and Tegra 4 chips and use 4 ARM A15 CPU cores and Kepler GPU with 192 CUDA cores. Nvidia announces GPU licensing starting with Kepler, to compete with PowerVR

Nvidia, one of the world’s leading graphics providers, has announced that it will start licensing its GPU technology for other SoC manufacturers, starting with the Kepler series of GPUs. This move comes at a time when most smartphone manufacturers have moved away from Nvidia’s Tegra SoC, which was supposed to provide the much needed boost to the company’s flailing mobile portfolio. Nvidia Tegra, while good at games, lacked in raw performance and most importantly, battery life. Tegra chips were Nvidia’s SoC play at the mobile market, and now, like their core PC business, the Kepler based GPUs will be licensed to willing manufacturers.

Nvidia updates Tegra roadmap with Logan and Parker, sporting Kepler and Maxwell GPUs

Nvidia had their GPU Technology conference in San Jose, California yesterday, in which they unveiled their new product roadmap for PCs as well as their Tegra chips, their mobile SoC solutions. The Tegra roadmap after Tegra 4i will be succeeded by Logan, and Parker will succeed Logan, slated for 2014 and 2015 commercial availability respectively.

Nvidia Project Shield Hands On

Nvidia’s move into handheld gaming is one that has been met with much skepticism. Over at the Mobile World Congress, we spent some time with non final hardware to gauge for ourselves whether Project Shield was as impressive as it sounds.

The hardware itself is essentially a gamepad with a 5-inch 720p foldable screen attached to it. NVIDIA unveils Tegra 4i with integrated LTE, quad-core A9 R4 CPU, 60 GPU Cores

NVIDIA has announced the Tegra 4i, their first quad-core mobile processor integrated with LTE capabilities. NVIDIA unveiled the Tegra 4 with 72 GPUs cores and 4 ARM A15 CPU cores at the CES 2013 last month. It had optional Icera i500 modem, but the Tegra 4i comes with the integrated i500 modem. The Tegra 4i has 60 GPUs cores, 4 ARM A9  r4 CPU cores with clock speeds up to 2.3 GHz per core. They also promise long battery life with the fifth battery saver core. NVIDIA unveils Tegra 4 with quad-core A15 CPU, 72 GPU Cores

NVIDIA has announced Tegra 4 processor for smartphones and tablets that has 72 GPUs cores and 4 ARM A15 CPU cores at CES 2013. It also comes with an optional 4G LTE chipset. NVIDIA is calling it the fastest mobile processor in the world. The Tegra 4 tablet takes 24 seconds to load 25 unique web pages, twice faster than the Nexus 10 that has a dual-core A15 CPU. The Tegra 4 slide leaked last month revealing the features.
