Nokia has finally launched the Lumia 1320, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone as it promised last month. It was announced at the Nokia World last year and packs a 6-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD LCD IPS Super sensitive display and Gorilla Glass 3 protection, powered by a 1.7 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and runs on Windows Phone 8 OS with the latest Lumia Black update. Nokia Lumia 525 launched in India for Rs. 10399

Nokia announced the Lumia 525 in India at the 6th Annual Strategy Sharing Summit in Goa last month. The company has finally announced the price of the device. It was unveiled last year and has a 4-inch (800 x 480 pixels) IPS display at 235 ppi, super sensitive touch for finger nail and glove use and is powered by a 1 GHz dual core Snapdragon S4 processor. Nokia Lumia 1020 and Lumia 520 emerge as the favourites in #SmartFone13

2013 came to an end a few days back and so did our quest to see which two phones would emerge as the favourites in our #Smartfone13 championship for flagships as well as budget devices. Two major polls were run in parallel for about a week with several phones knocked out in the weeks before, to bring the tally to the final four. It was Sony Xperia Z1 vs the Nokia Lumia 1020 for the flagship battle and the Nokia Lumia 520 vs the Gionee Elife E6 for the budget devices battle, with the Lumias ending up as the winners. How? Nokia 106 affordable phone goes on sale in India for Rs. 1399

Nokia 106 was announced back in August along with the Nokia 107 Dual SIM for China. Now the phone is available in India from the official Nokia Shop. It has a 1.8-inch (160 x 128 pixels) TFT display, bit larger than the Nokia 105, the company’s most affordable feature phone that was launched in India back in April. Other features are almost similar to the 105, including a dust and splash-proof keypad, 4-way Navi Key and FM Radio support. Nokia Asha 500 now available in India for Rs. 4649

Nokia launched the Asha 500 along with the Asha 502 and the Asha 503 in India last week. The Nokia Asha 502 Dual SIM went on sale in India last week, now the the Asha 500 is available in India from online retailer Infibeam, as Nokia promised at the event. The Asha 500 was announced at the Nokia World event in Abu Dhabi back in October . It comes with a 2.8-inch QVGA (320 x 240 pixels), 2 MP rear camera, Nokia Fast lane multi-tasking screen, Dual SIM support, 2G (EDGE), WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 and FM Radio. Nokia Normandy leaks out in new colors

Nokia phone codenamed Normandy was expected to be a large-screen Asha phone with the looks of Lumia, but the recent rumors suggested that the Nokia Normandy is an Android smartphone that Nokia is working on, which might be released in 2014. Now evleaks has posted an image of the phone in new colors. The Twitter user has also mentioned the year as 2013 in the tweet, so the phone might not be released since the year is going to end, even though earlier rumors revealed that Nokia is continuing the development of Nokia Normandy in “full steam”. Final – Nokia Lumia 1020 vs Sony Xperia Z1 #SmartFone13

After two rounds of really close battles between 8 smartphones, we have come to the finals of the SmartFone 13 championship for the best smartphone of 2013. Two devices have made it to the finals and they are – Nokia Lumia 1020 and the Sony Xperia Z1. Both the phones are awesome on their own and have beaten two other capable smartphones to reach this stage, which removes even an iota of doubt on how great these two devices are. Both being the companies’ respective flagships are packed with innovations as well as top class features. But which one do you think is the best of the two? Nokia Lumia 525 Hands On

Nokia announced the Lumia 525 sometime back last month and basically, it was a Lumia 520 with a very slightly different design and 1 GB of RAM. The Lumia 525 is primarily for addressing the low RAM issue on Windows Phones. Phones with 512 MB of RAM, like the Lumia 520, were not allowed to download some apps and games from the Windows Phone Store because of them demanding more resources. This was partly solved with more optimizations from the developers’ side, but we still see a lot of new apps and games releasing with the limitation, so Nokia simply went the other way and updated the 520 with 1 GB of RAM, and that’s exactly the reason why 525 exists. It was revealed at an event in Goa today that the Lumia 525 will be arriving to India during the first week of January 2014. The Lumia 520 is already the best selling Windows Phone in India and we hope the 525 directly replaces it. That said, we went hands on with the Lumia 525 at the Annual Strategy Sharing Summit in Goa, you can find our impressions below.

Nokia Lumia 1520 Camera Samples

At the Abu Dhabi event earlier this year, Nokia announced their first phablet – Nokia Lumia 1520. The Nokia Lumia 1520 is the first in various aspects – first Windows Phone phablet, first Windows Phone to sport a Full HD 1080p display and the first Windows Phone device to run on a Snapdragon 800 SoC. The specialty about the Lumia 1520 is that it retains the goodness of a PureView camera from the Nokia Lumia 1020. Though it doesn’t have the huge 41MP sensor like the one on Lumia 1020 or Nokia 808, it comes with a little modest 20MP PureView camera that comes with a similar over-sampling algorithm.

Nokia Lumia 1320 India launch scheduled for mid January 2014

While Nokia announced the Lumia 1520 in India earlier this week, all eyes are set on its lower priced sibling ie the Lumia 1320. The handset couples a 6 inch display with more mid range specifications and aims to compete at a price point dominated by Android phablets.
