Nokia launched the Asha 500 along with the Asha 502 and the Asha 503 in India last week. The Nokia Asha 502 Dual SIM went on sale in India last week, now the the Asha 500 is available in India from online retailer Infibeam, as Nokia promised at the event. The Asha 500 was announced at the Nokia World event in Abu Dhabi back in October . It comes with a 2.8-inch QVGA (320 x 240 pixels), 2 MP rear camera, Nokia Fast lane multi-tasking screen, Dual SIM support, 2G (EDGE), WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 and FM Radio. Nokia Asha 500 Hands On
At the Abu Dhabi Nokia World Event, Nokia announced a few Lumia smartphones and few Asha feature phones. Among the Asha phones announced, the Asha 500 was the entry range device. The phone looks very much like the Asha 501 which was announced a few months back, but comes with a new crystal-clear look fusion of ice-like transparency and bold inner color.

Whatsapp for the Nokia Asha 500 shows up alongside leaked press image
While we have already seen renders of the purported Nokia Asha 500 and its dual shot style shells, the bigger news to report here is that Whatsapp is finally coming to the Asha software platform, which includes the highly popular Asha 501 too. If the above leaked press image is to be believed(usually very trustworthy because of @evleaks), Whatsapp will finally arrive for the new Nokia Asha series. This has been THE highly requested app on Nokia Asha 501, and we are glad to see that it is indeed coming, but when is the question.
