Nokia’s return to the hardware market looks set to become official later this month as the N1 tablet will begin shipping in China on January 28th. Pre-orders for the Nokia N1, which is manufactured by Foxconn and sold under the Nokia brand, will begin tomorrow and the N1 tablet will cost 1599 RMB (equivalent to around $258 or £170). Microsoft just launched the Nokia Lumia 638, the company’s most affordable 4G smartphone in India. It was originally introduced in China back in June and has a 4.5-inch FWVGA screen, is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 and runs Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Cyan. It has a 5-megapixel auto focus rear camera without flash and also lacks a front-facing camera. It has 1GB RAM and comes with single micro SIM support. Nokia McLaren photos has been leaked on a Chinese site Baidu. The phone is said to be the Nokia 1020 successor and in the latest leak it is placed alongside the Apple iPhone 6.
HERE Maps has finally landed on the Google Play Store. The maps and navigational app from Nokia is available as a free download for Android devices.
