Nokia N1 tablet to launch in China on January 7


Nokia will launch its N1 android tablet in China on January 7. The company officially made the announcement following earlier reports about the launch.

Nokia announced the N1 tablet last month and China will be the first market where it will be available. The N1 has aluminium unibody build and sports a 7.9-inch (2048 × 1536 pixels) display at 326 ppi with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Powered by a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3580 processor, it runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with Nokia Z Launcher on the top.

It has a 2GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage and does not support expansion via microSD. The tablet comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It supports WiFi 802.11/b/g/n/ac Dual Band (2X2 MIMO), Bluetooth 4.0 and has a 5300 mAh lithium polymer battery.

The Nokia N1 will cost $249 (roughly Rs. 15,400) before taxes and will be made available in other markets globally. Nokia is running a contest in the Asian country where participants stand a chance to win 800 tickets and six VIP passes for the event on January 7th.
