HMD Global just introduced the Nokia 5.1 Plus along with the Nokia 6.1 Plus in India. Similar to the other Nokia phones, it is an Android One smartphone. It was introduced last month in China as X5 and packs a 5.86-inch HD+ 19:9 aspect ratio 2.5D curved glass display with 84% screen-to-body ratio, is powered by MediaTek Helio P60 12nm processor with 3GB of RAM, runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) OS, which is upgradable to Android P.
For a company as young as HMD Global, they’ve sure have come a long way. Be it the lineup itself or the pace at which the products have improved. We found the Nokia 8 Sirocco and the 7 Plus both to be rather excellent products with a focus on build quality, design and stock Android of course. HMD Global just launched the Nokia 6.1 Plus, the global version of the Nokia X6 smartphone in India, as it had promised. It was introduced for the global markets last month, starting from Hong Kong and packs a 5.8-inch FHD+ display with a notch and 19:9 aspect ratio, Snapdragon 636 with 4GB of RAM, Android 8.1 (Oreo), 16-megapixel rear camera with RGB sensor, 5-megapixel secondary rear camera with a monochrome sensor, AI portrait and scene recognition and a 16-megapixel front camera with AI selfies with background blur, stickers and face unlock.
Update: August 20 – Flipkart has confirmed that the phone will be exclusively available with them. It has also released a new teaser video featuring Shankar, Ehsaan & Loy.

HMD global introduced the Nokia X6 smartphone in China back in May, and the global version of the smartphone, Nokia 6.1 Plus appeared in a benchmark listing earlier this week.
