LG to roll out Android 4.1 update for select high-end Optimus devices starting from November

LG has announced the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update schedule for high-end devices including Optimus LTE 2, Optimus G, Optimus Vu and Vu 2 in Korea. The LG Optimus LTE 2 would be the first device to get the Jelly Bean update, which would start in November. LG’s latest quad-core Smartphone, Optimus G would get the update in December, while the Optimus Vu and its successor Vu 2 would get the update in Q1 2012. LG Optimus 4X HD price drops to Rs. 27990


LG Optimus 4X HD has got a price cut in India, which is now available for Rs. 27,990. It was announced at MWC 2012 earlier this February and launched in India for Rs. 34,990 in July. The price of the Samsung Galaxy S3 dropped to Rs. 34,900 last month. HTC One X also lies in the similar price range. Now you have lot of choices if you are looking for a quad-core Android Smartphone. LG Optimus L5 Dual now available in India for Rs. 13499


LG Optimus L5 Dual is now available in India from online retailer Flipkart. LG unveiled the Optimus L5 at MWC 2012, later in June LG announced that the Optimus L5 would come with Dual SIM and NFC support in select markets. The Optimus L5 was launched in India in July. The Optimus L5 Dual packs in similar features as the single SIM variant including a 4.0-inch (320×480 pixels) IPS display and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) with Optimus UI 3.0. LG Nexus Phone Pictures Leaked

New set of images of the LG’s next Nexus devices has surfaced on Belarusian site Onliner. Unlike the earlier shots of the LG E960, these images are clear hands-on shots. LG India announces winners of Smartphone Idea Camp contest


LG Smartphone Idea Camp contest is over and the winners got away with the prize-worth Rs. 1,000,000 along with LG Smart phones as an additional prize of Rs. 500,000. LG launched the Smartphone Idea Camp contest on August 1st which received registrations from 3700 contestants and ended on 15th September, 2012. LG E960 images surface, is this the next Nexus?

New images of the LG’s Nexus Smartphone LG-E960 has surfaced online. There are 2 set of pictures, one has a curved design with a rugged back, and other one has a similar design as the LG Optimus G since it has a cover on it. According to these images, both these devices run on Android 4.1.2 with the Linux 3.4 kernel and has the board name Mako. LG Nexus smartphone detailed specs surface, to be announced late October?

 

There were several rumors about the Google’s next Nexus Smartphone for the past few days. Earlier rumors from Android and Me suggested that the next Google Nexus smartphone would be LG Optimus based, but it would look similar to the Galaxy Nexus. Now detailed specs of the upcoming Nexus device has been leaked by MoDaCo. According to them, the LG’s Nexus has not been named yet, but some of the specs would be similar to the Optimus G, LG’s latest flagship smartphone that was launched  in Korea for 999,900 Korean Won (~US$900) last month. It would not come with a expandable memory slot, instead it would come in 8GB and 16GB variants, similar to the Nexus 7 and would feature an 8MP rear camera instead of 13MP camera. LG Optimus Vu II with 5-inch IPS display, 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 2GB RAM announced

LG has announced the Optimus Vu II, successor of the Optimus Vu. The specs are similar to the one that surfaced earlier this week. It has a 5-inch (1,024 x 768 pixels) IPS display similar to the Vu with a 4:3 Aspect Ratio. It has a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has a 8 Megapixel auto focus camera with BSI sensor, LED Flash and an 1.3MP front-facing camera. LG Optimus Vu 2 specs surface, 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 2GB RAM

LG is yet to launch the Optimus Vu globally, but the specs for the Optimus Vu 2 has surfaced on a Korean blog Bad IT Tong. The LG Optimus Vu 2 would retain the same 5-inch (1,024 x 768 pixels) IPS display with 4:3 Aspect Ratio but it would have a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 processor instead of a Snapdragon Scorpion processor. It would have 2GB of RAM instead of the 1GB RAM in the Vu and would come with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). LG TONE+ Bluetooth Stereo Headset announced

LG has announced the LG TONE+ (HBS-730), successor of the popular Bluetooth stereo headset LG TONE (HBS-700). The would offer enhanced audio experience than the TONE and supports VoLTE (Voice over LTE) calls that would let users to hold conversations in High Definition (HD) sound between VoLTE-capable devices. LG Optimus G launched: powered by quad core Snapdragon S4 Pro, 2GB RAM

LG today launched its next generation flagship smartphone, the Optimus G at an event in Seoul. The Android 4.0 powered smartphone runs on Qualcomm’s Fusion 3 chip which includes a 1.5 Ghz Snapdragon S4 Pro SoC ie the APQ8064 and includes 2 GB of RAM alongside. A 4.7″ 1280×768 True HD IPS Plus display dominated the front with a ppi of 320.

LG Optimus Vu coming to Verizon as LG Intuition on September 6 for $199.99

LG has released the Optimus Vu for Verizon Wireless in the USA as Intuition. It would have similar features as the Korean version including a 5-inch display with 4:3 Aspect Ratio and 650 nits brightness, 1.5 GHz Dual Core Snapdragon Processor, 4G LTE support, but would come with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) on-board. LG Optimus L9 with 1 GHz dual-core processor, 4.7-inch IPS display, Android 4.0 announced

LG has announced the Optimus L9, their new phone in the L series. It comes with a 4.7-inch IPS display and is powered by 1 GHz dual-core processor. It runs on  Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has a 5MP rear camera with LED Flash and a VGA front-facing camera. It has Metallic Streak around the body and has 2,150 mAh battery with SiO+ technology similar to the Optimus 4X HD. LG Optimus G with 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, 4.7-inch True HD IPS+ display, Android 4.0 announced

LG has finally unveiled the Optimus G (LG-F180), their new flagship smartphone. They already revealed that it would have a Snapdragon S4 pro quad-core processor and  True HD IPS display with  G2 Touch Hybrid Display and better battery. Now, they have officially announced the device. It has a 4.7-inch (1280 x 768 pixels) True HD IPS + Display and is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor.  It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and comes with a 13MP camera with an LED flash at the back and a 1.3MP front-facing camera. LG Electronics, LG Chem, LG Display & LG Innotek collaborate for next gen Smartphone

We already know that a new LG smartphone powered by the Qualcomm S4 Pro Quad-core chip is coming soon. LG even teased about it’s upcoming phone in a video. Earlier today LG has confirmed through a press release that LG Electronics and it’s sister companies LG Chem( Battery ) , LG Display (Display ) and LG Innotek (Touchscreen) are collaborating for the company’s next gen Smartphone. LG says that the upcoming smartphone will feature each company’s best technology.
