LG patents hint at Huawei Mate 20-like smartphone design with square triple rear-camera setup

Earlier this month LG has introduced the LG V40 ThinQ flagship with triple rear-cameras that are arranged horizontally. However, the company might be working on a new design for the camera setup. The patents for the same are published by the USPTO United States Patent and Trademark Office on October 23, 2018.

LG Q3 2018 profits up 47.9% YoY as mobile losses narrow

LG Electronics has reported revenues of 15.43 trillion won (US$ 13.76 billion) for the third quarter that ended September 30, 2018, which is up 1.3% compared to the same quarter last year. It posted profits of 748 bilion won (US$ 667.7 million), up 45% YoY, while net profit was 497.1 billion won (US$ 436.5 million) from 336.1 billion won, up 47.9% YoY. Increase in profits is due to strong returns from the home appliances business, however mobile sector has continued to post losses. LG Watch W7 Hybrid Wear OS Smartwatch with mechanical hands announced

Alongside the LG V40 ThinQ, LG announced the LG Watch W7, its first hybrid smartwatch that combines mechanical movement with digital functionalities powered by Wear OS by Google. It features quartz movement and physical watch hands in a stainless steel body and has been developed in partnership with Soprod SA of Switzerland. LG V40 ThinQ with 6.4-inch QHD+ OLED FullVision display, triple rear cameras, dual front cameras announced

LG has announced its flagship V40 ThinQ penta camera smartphone as it had promised. It has a 6.4-inch FullVision OLED display with bottom bezel that is 1.6mm thinner than the predecessor. The main highlight of the smartphone is its cameras. It has triple rear cameras, 16MP 107-degree super wide-angle, 12MP standard angle and 12MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom (or 3.2x the zoom of the wide-angle lens). The Triple Shot feature stitches together the images captured with each of the three lenses into a short video file for easy sharing. LG V40 ThinQ with Penta cameras teased in official video

LG has released a new 30-second video teaser for the company’s upcoming flagship V40 ThinQ smartphone ahead of October 3 announcement. The phone will come with penta or five cameras that includes three rear cameras including standard, wide and telephoto lenses at the back and dual front cameras.

LG V40 ThinQ with triple rear cameras, dual front cameras surface in press renders ahead of October 3 announcement

Earlier this month LG announced that it will introduce its flagship V40 ThinQ smartphone on October 3rd. We had already seen renders of the smartphone, now have the first press render of the phone, thanks to @evleaks. This reveals a notch design, triple rear cameras, dual front camera, fingerprint sensor on the back and a metal frame with a dedicated Google Assistant button below the volume rockers. LG has scheduled an event on October 3rd where it will introduce its next flagship V40 ThinQ smartphone, few months after the introduction of the V35 ThinQ. The main highlight of the smartphone will be triple rear cameras with Telephoto lens, wide-angle lens, 2x zoom and AI features. It is also said to feature dual front cameras and run Android 9.0 (Pie) out of the box.

LG Q Stylus+ with 6.2-inch FHD+ display, water-resistant body, military-level durability launched in India for Rs. 21990

LG has launched Q Stylus+ smartphone lineup as successor to last year’s  Stylus 3 in India, soon after the launch of Q7. It was introduced back in June and packs a 6.2-inch FHD+ FullVision Display, is powered by a 1.5GHz Octa-core MediaTek SoC, runs Android 8.1 (Oreo), comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, 16-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. LG introduces world’s first 88-inch 8K OLED TV at IFA 2018

LG has introduced world’s first 8K (7680 x 4320) OLED TV at the IFA 2018 in Berlin. It features over 33 million self-emitting pixels offering the best contrast ratio and true blacks. LG did not reveal any details about the TV, but said that it will continue to increase the OLED share in its premium TV portfolio and drive large scale consumer adoption of OLED TVs. LG Q7 with 5.5-inch FuHD+ FullVision Display, water-resistant body, military-level durability launched in India for Rs. 15990

LG has launched Q7, the company’s latest smartphone in the ‘Q series’ and the successor of last year’s Q6, in India. It has the same 5.5-inch  FHD+ FullVision Display and packs the same 3,000mAh built-in battery, but this is powered by a 1.5GHz Octa-core MediaTek MT6750S  SoC and runs Android 8.0 (Oreo). IT features a 13-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front camera, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. LG ULTRAGEAR 34-inch UltraWide QHD Curved gaming monitor announced ahead of IFA 2018

LG Electronics has announced UltraGear gaming monitors ahead of IFA 2018 in Berlin this week. It comes with a UltraWide 21:9 screen for an immersive playing field that enhances the gaming experience.
