Samsung 6G Research and Spectrum White Paper released

Samsung Electronics announced a white paper today highlighting the company’s strategy for obtaining global frequency bands for 6G, the next-generation communications technology. The study, titled 6G Spectrum: Expanding the Frontier, outlines how to get the spectrum needed to accomplish the company’s 6G ambition, which was first announced in a white paper released in early July 2020. LG, KAIST teamup for development of 6G mobile communication technology

While the development of 5G is still underway, South Korean giant LG has taken early steps to secure core technologies for 6G mobile communication. The company teamed up with KAIST which is state science school. LG has opened a 6G research lab at the state-run Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology (KAIST) in the central city of Daejeon.
