Nokia has finally unveiled their flagship camera phone, the Lumia 1020 few hours back at the New York event. We brought the hands-on impressions of the device soon after the event. HTC unveiled the Butterfly S, successor of the Butterfly in Taiwan last month. We brought you the photo gallery of the device earlier today. Now we have the benchmarks of the device. The phone has a 5.0-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD Super LCD 3 display display and is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 8064T processor clocked at 1.9 GHz with Adreno 320 GPU coupled with 2 GB RAM. It runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) with HTC Sense 5.0. Let’s check out the performance of the smartphone when compared with other high-end Android devices.

HTC has announced that they have started rolling out the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update (version 2.28.709.2) for the HTC Butterfly. The update brings lot of new features including the Sense 5, BlinkFeed , Video Highlights slide show function for the camera that creates a short movie from your photos and videos, AE/AF enhancements in the camera, Battery percentage in the status bar, Quick settings and lots more. HTC started rolling out the Android 4.2.2 over-the-air (OTA) update for the International users starting from Taiwan last week. Now CNET reports that a spokesperson has told them that the update will roll out sometime this week to owners in Asia. We are not sure which part of Asia would get the update first. HTC One Mini is not a mystery any more. The specs of the phone surfaced first in February earlier this year. The press render of the phone appeared back in May along with the rumored specs. . It was caught on camera last month that showed the chin and the bottom part of the device, and whole front part of the device was revealed last month. Now the full hands-on images of the device has appeared on a Bulgarian website smartnews.bg that also confirms the specs of the device. HTC Desire 600 that was announced back in May is now available in India from online retailer Saholic. It has a 4.5-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) pixels super LCD2 display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 MSM8625Q processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) . It has a 8-megapixel camera on the back with LED flash, BSI sensor and a 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera with BSI sensor. HTC has confirmed that it would upgrade the HTC One S will not receive further Android OS updates and will remain on the current version of Android and HTC Sense, according to a report from the Engadget. HTC confirmed the Android 4.1 update for the HTC One X and the One S last year that rolled out for these devices at the end of last year. The Android 4.1.1 update for these devices brought Sense 4+. The dual SIM version of the HTC One got the Android 4.2.2 update (version 2.17.1402.2) in China last week, now the international version of the HTC One has receive the Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) update in Taiwan. The update brings lot of new features including a new lock screen widget, quick settings panel, battery level indicator in the status bar and lots more new features. Google has started selling the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the HTC One running stock Android. in the U.S through the Google Play. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition was announced the Google I/O last month and the HTC One running stock Android was announced at the end of last month. Both these phones run on stock Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Google is calling these the Google Play edition and the phones would automatically receive updates of the latest Android software. HTC Desire XC, dual SIM smartphone is now available in India from online retailer Snapdeal. The Desire XC was announced in China last year as T329D. The HTC Desire XDS, dual SIM variant of the Desire X went on sale in India recently. This has exactly same specs as the XDS including a 4.0-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, 1 GHz Dual-core processor and Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has a 5MP auto focus rear camera with LED Flash. In packs a 1800 mAh battery and has built-in Beats Audio support. According to a report from Bloomberg, HTC is supposedly in talks with Iron Man superstar for a $12 million ad deal to promote its Smartphones. The “billionaire, industrialist, playboy” Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr. has been at the fore front of the massive success of the Disney-Marvel franchise, and apparently plays a key role in selecting the creative elements for this campaign too. Bloomberg also reports that Robert Dwoney Jr. will be featured in the campaign as himself and not as one of his characters, like Sherlock Holmes or the Iron Man.
HTC just introduced the successor to the Butterfly at an event in Taiwan. Called the Butterfly S, the handset looks very similar to the model it replaces. However, the phone has now been equipped with the same front facing BoomSound speakers as seen on the HTC One. The operating system too gets the HTC’s spanking new Sense 5 UI layer that we quite liked when we reviewed the One.
HTC has officially announced the Desire 200, the company’s latest budget Android smartphone. It was leaked recently and has a 3.5-inch (320 x 480 pixels) display, powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and features a 5-megapixel camera. Details about the Android version is not available but it is likely to be 4.0 or 4.1. It has Beats audio support and comes with in-ear headset. The looks like an enhanced version Desire C that was launched last year. Even the rear part of the device looks similar to the Desire C.
