HTC unveiled the Desire 816 at the MWC last month. Earlier this month Desire 516 with 5-inch qHD display and a quad-core processor surfaced online. Today, HTC Desire 616 with octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor has surfaced online in live images posted by a weibo user. It has also been certified in Tenna in China that reveals the complete specifications of the device. It has a 5-inch HD display and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) with HTC Sense 5 on top. HTC One (M8) Duo Camera: Explained

HTC has finally revealed its most awaited flagship phone, the One (M8), at an event in New York today. The flagship phone takes on a countless number of other Android flagship devices with an upgraded design and internals, bringing it up to speed, literally. The new One improves upon the older one in a lot of ways, and one of them is by innovating(again) on the camera side. The original One had the industry’s first Ultrapixel sensor, a 4.1 MP camera with pixels sized at 2 microns, which is back on the new HTC One (M8) but it is also accompanied by a secondary camera. While the Ultrapixel is all about gathering more light, this curious little camera that sits above the main unit enables a whole lot of enhancements that HTC proudly portrayed at their event. So what is this “Duo Camera” all about, and how does it really work? Let’s find out.

HTC One (M8) Benchmarks

HTC unveiled the HTC One (M8), the latest flagship smartphone earlier today. We manged to get hold of the smartphone at the launch event and range some synthetic benchmark test. The HTC One (M8) is powered by quad-core Snapdragon 801 28nm HPm Krait 400 CPU clocked at 2.46 GHz with Adreno 330 GPU. It has a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) OS with HTC Sense 6 on top. The Sony Xperia Z2 and the Samsung Galaxy S5 also have a Snapdragon 801 SoC. Craving the brand new HTC One M8 but don’t want the slick new Sense UI 6.0?  Hoping for HTC to launch a Google Play edition device? Well your wish just came true as HTC has announced that their new flagship will ship in both Google Play & Developer edition variants. The former device will eschew Sense UI for stock Android. This does mean that you will lose all the nifty additions brought on by Sense UI. Small price to pay for faster upgrades? HTC One (M8) with Duo Camera, Snapdragon 801 and Android 4.4 announced

HTC has finally announced the new HTC One (M8) successor of last year’s HTC One (M7). The HTC One (M8) has a 5.0-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display with Corning Gorilla glass protection, powered by a 2.5 GHz / 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor(depending on the market) and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with the new HTC Sense 6.0 UI. It has Duo camera setup with a primary UltraPixel camera (1/3″ BSI sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 28mm lens, pixel size of 2.0 microns) and a secondary rear camera to capture depth information. It has dual LED flash that automatically selects the right tone and intensity based on the scene.

These apps doesn’t work with the HTC One yet (may be it’ll need the Sense 6.0). The new HTC One gets a 14 minute video preview

all-new-htc-oneThe all new HTC One hasn’t even launched yet, but the Internet is still abuzz with leaks and videos of this device. It is all set to launch tomorrow at an event in New York but that hasn’t stopped a German blogger from posting an in-depth video preview of the highly anticipated flagship device from the Taiwanese manufacturer. The video, in German, shows off the entire hardware and bits and pieces of the new Sense 6 UI, which gets up to speed with other OEM skins with features like Double tap to wake, gets on screen buttons and a slightly differently styled UI with Android 4.4 KitKat on board. HTC Desire 516 leaked online

HTC has not yet launched its flagship device of this year, but we know it is just a week away before it launches the all new HTC One. In the meantime, HTC is also preparing a midrange Desire series smartphone. HTC had introduced the Desire 816 at MWC 2014 earlier this year and now plans to unveil the Desire 516.

Leaked ad sheds light on the new HTC One’s Dual Cameras

The All new HTC One has all but been completely revealed at this point in time, but till now, we have never been able to get solid information on how the dual camera setup is going to work. Well, this new leak, a Telstra brochure acquired by the good folks at GSMArena, might shed some light on the “Duo Camera” setup that HTC is going for, in its latest flagship device. We all know how the 4 MP UltraPixel camera underwhelmed us after the initial excitement, but HTC seems to have worked out a solution and then more with this implementation that retains the UltraPixel’s advantages.

The HTC Desire 310, the company’s latest budget phone surfaced on the official website, back in January briefly. The Desire 310 with a model number 310w appeared on the company’s Chinese website recently It has a 4.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, 1.3 GHz Quad-core processor and Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera without flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera.

The HTC Desire 310, the company’s latest budget phone with a MediaTek processor surfaced on the official website, back in January before it was taken down. Now the smartphone has appeared on HTC’s Chinese website with the model number 310w. This has a different design compared to the global variant of the smartphone. Other specifications are completely similar, including a 4.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, 1.3 GHz Quad-core Mediatek MT6582M processor and Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean).
