Google Nexus One receives Android 2.3.6 OTA [Instructions to manually update]

Google Nexus One which is also known as the grand father of Android phones and Google’s first Nexus device get’s updated to Android 2.3.6. Last update which Nexus officially received was of Android 2.3.4, now Google has decided to skip 2.3.5 and jump directly to 2.3.6. Well I have not updated my Nexus One yet as it is on CyanogenMod and I am sure they will be including Android 2.3.6 in their next nightly. The update does not have anything in particular except dome bug fixes. Follow the instructions below to manually update if you haven’t received the update yet.

Google+ for Android v1.0.7 update brings Hangout and lots of new features

Google+ for Android has got a major update to version 1.0.7, that brings the Hangout to the Android phones (Android 2.3+ and front-facing camera) that lets you join a hangout on the Google+ stream. Huddle is now renamed as Messenger. Google Wallet launched on Sprint’s Nexus S 4G in USA

Google has launched their Google Wallet on the Sprint’s Nexus 4G in USA. This would let the Sprint Nexus 4G users make purchases with a simple tap using NFC (Near Field Communication) on their phone.  The Google Wallet app would be available through an over-the-air update for Sprint’s Nexus 4G devices. Samsung Droid Prime to bring some Ice Cream Sandwich love to Verizon exclusively

BGR has been reporting about the Nexus Prime from quite some time now, they were the first to inform us that Samsung will be manufacturing this device, now their source has confirmed that Verizon will be bringing out a phone called Droid Prime from Samsung, which will be the first exclusively launched Ice scream Sandwich phone (Android 4.0) for Verizon Wireless.

A device with the model number Samsung GT-I9250 just passed through Wi-Fi certification today, and as reported by droid-life it could have been the Samsung Nexus Prime receiving a certification. There is not much detail about the device other than the model number, but now we are sure that there exists a secret device inside Samsung’s base camp.
