Asus launched the Zenfone series in India that includes the Zenfone 4 that starts at Rs. 5,999 for the Asus Zenfone 4 (A400CG) variant. We already reviewed the Zenfone 5 and brought you the unboxing of the Zenfone 6 last week. The Zenfone 4 (A400CG) is the base variant in the Zenfone lineup. Asus launched the Zenfone 6, the top-end smartphone in the Zenfone lineup in India earlier this month. We already brought you the unboxing of the smartphone, here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. The Indian variant (A600CG / A601CG) of the smartphone has a 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 processor, but our review unit is powered by a dual-core Intel Atom Z2580 clocked at 2 GHz with PowerVR SGX 544MP2 GPU. Asus launched all the Zenfone smartphones in India last week starting at a price tag of just Rs. 5,999. The Zenfone 6, top-end model in the series with a 6-inch IPS display is priced at Rs. 16,999. We have a different variant of the smartphone that is powered by a 2 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2580 processor and single SIM support. Asus recently launched its budget friendly range of Zenfone handsets in India. Today, the company has announced that 40,000 units of the smartphones have already been sold within 4 days of the debut in Indian market. Asus launched the Zenfone 4 starting at Rs 5,999, Zenfone 5 starting at Rs 9,999 and Zenfone 6 at Rs. 16,999. The Zenfone series is available online only on Flipkart and through Asus’s authorized channels since its launch in India on July 9th.

Asus announced the Zenfone range in January this year that included the Zenfone 4, Zenfone 5 and Zenfone 6. We got our hands on the Zenfone 5 prior to its official release this week. Check out the hands on and unboxing video along with benchmarks of the device. The phone which has a 5inch HD display and is powered by Intel Atom Z2580 Chip clocked at 2GHz. The memory storage includes 1GB RAM and 4GB internal storage options. The Asus ZenFone 5 runs on Android 4.3 Jellybean and will get the Android 4.4 KitKat update very soon.

Asus has released the Android 4.4 (KitKat) update for the Padfone 2, the company’s second Padfone device that was launched back in 2012, as it promised earlier this year. The KitKat update also brings new Asus ZenUI 1.1 with a new user interface. The ZenUi brings clean layout, flat icons, new color themes, animations, new ringtone and notification tones. Asus is working on a smartwatch that runs on Google’s Android Wear, according to a report from TechCrunch. It says that the company is planning to release an Android Wear-powered smartwatch in September.

Asus is planning to launch the Zenfone series – Zenfone 4, Zenfone 5 and Zenfone 6 in India on July 9th, according to a report from The Times of India. These are the first smartphones from Asus that were announced at the CES 2014 earlier this year have 4, 5 and 6-inch displays. The Zenfone 4 has a 4-inch WVGA screen and the Zenfone 5 and Zenfone 6 have 5-inch and 6-inch HD displays, respectively.
